Game glitch

Ok. So i was going around town and i found a grasshopper and i thought "I wonder what would happen if i dug up the spot it was standing on." So i dug up the spot it was standing on. THE BUG WAS STANDING IN THE SPACE RIGHT ABOVE THE HOLE, IT SHOULD HAVE FALLEN IN.

How were you able to do that without scaring the bug away?

I've done this before too.
Sometimes the grasshoppers have a delay before they jump.

Found another by accident. If you have a four wrapped presents sent from the HHA(i'm only sure about orders of furniture from a spotpass house) inside your pockets nobody can visit you.(I'm not sure about the number of presents needed to this but four definetly works) This can be fixed by unwrapping the presents (also, maybe putting them back in their letters, or dropping them in your house or on the ground. Not sure about these.)
