Hello my fellow peepers,

Today,i have stumbled upon some thing magical called kettle corn and still today i'll be making a topic completely unrelated to that. Don't you love tbt's, the thrill of earning them and spending them and well, that's all you can really do with them BUT don't you feel like you want to rack up those tbt's alittle faster. Well, your prayers has been somewhat answered. Warning: I am not an angel and i don't actually answer prayers or takeout.

Just follow these 3 @tips and you'll be racking up tbt's in sometime.

1 - Write like you're in college: So ya know when you have to write a 2000 essay and you rather be at bae's house to smash, even if you forgot your 3ds but you have to exaggerate all your words to just barely pass the 2000 limit. Well, if you exaggerate your sentences, you can get more tbt's. You get a certain amount of tbt's for each character in a post. Instead of using numbers and acronyms, type them out. Even try to use extra words to make them appear longer but mean the same as writing less.

2 - Selling is love, selling is life (or was that shrek): Did you know that you can sell artwork, graphics, or in-game items for tbt's, right? No?? It's like i don't even know anymore. Anyways you can sell your artwork/graphics in the Museum Shop and sell in-game in the Re-tail store. Have fun finding people to buy your junk. OH NOT YOU, i was on the phone with the ovc company.

3 - Forgot your social life, you're jermany's pawn now: The final tip i got for you is be active, no i'm not talking about going outside and exercise, that is so last generation. Anyways, the more active you are, the more posts you get. You say can't be active? Well, i'm sorry for you then *cough* has a social life *cough*.


Now if you follow these 3 tips then i promise, on someone else's life, that you'll recieve more tbt's then usual. Have a ok day! :D

Results may vary. No oompa loompa's was harm in the making of this thread. Ok, one was BUT HE STOLED MY CHIPS.

I guess if it's well-structured and not too watered down, it is constructive.

If the title is "how to cheat the system" and the first tip is to "write like you're in college" with no reference of contributing to topics, people might be confused.

it's a perfect example of how to contribute and write long essay posts
writing long posts with good to perfect grammar and spelling is also good practice too
don't forget to add in some nominative absolutes, appositives, and other useless phrases here and there, and you'll be rich in no time !!!!!!!!

exactly, that backs up my point perfectly. if you use a bunch of useless phrases in the middle and call it a post to earn bells, that is indeed ****posting. and if you leave your tips unattended, that would mean anyone can post a mile long essay that has nothing to do with the point of the thread just to earn bells.

I just want to address a few things here before people start going on C+P sprees or filling spoilers with loads of repetitive nonsense in order to earn more TBT bells. Both of these things actually go against our rules and guidelines concerning post quality, and it should definitely go without saying that plagiarizing anything is a big no no, especially as a means to exploit the system and gain TBT bells from words that aren't actually your own. People have been suspended from the forums and had their TBT bells wiped for doing things exactly like this, so please use common sense when posting. Of course it's okay to make long posts when you actually have something contributory to say and are taking part in an actual discussion, but again, copypasting articles you find on the internet or posting a nonsensical tirade in order to gain more TBT is not.

Not to be too much of a funsucker here, but we strive to make TBT an environment where most discussions (barring in certain boards like The Basement) are meaningful and substantive, and doing the things mentioned above certainly doesn't fit into this. If we notice someone doing this or see it becoming a pattern of any kind, they can expect a TBT wipe and either an infraction or ban, depending on how many times they've done it and how much ill begotten TBT bells they've banked as a result.
