Does anyone else judge someone based on avatar?

Oh I just picture the character if they have one and picture them as that character lol

So that means you'd picture me as a real life Sasha Braus at a computer, haha.

OT: When I look at someones avatar, I just see it as something they like. If their avatar is of an AC villager, I guess they really like that villager. If it's a singer, I guess they're a fan of said singer, etc.

No, that's just silly. Your avatar can either reflect your personality/interests or just be some random picture you like or found funny(like mine), but you'll never know until you ask the person. If I chose to judge people based on their avatar, half the forum members with an anime/manga one I wouldn't take seriously, but that's being ignorant and generalizing a large group of people. If you really judge someone over something as insignificant as their avatar you need to re-evaluate your own life.

I have Asuka on mine, and it's so close up, people think it's a fire lady haha. I don't see it though. But people still think I'm a boy.

WOW I never realized that was Asuka lol.

But yeah, like others have said, it's dumb to judge people based on their avatar. I do tend to picture them as their avatars, though.

Well, you can kinda see some parts of the suit at the bottom, but the GFX hides it.

No, I don't judge people based of pictures. I judge people based off of how they act towards me personally, so the people I've never spoken to are neutral in my eyes. Avatars are a huge part of how I recognize someone around the forums, the usernames come second in case they change them.

Usually I'll just look around and think, "hey, they have a cool avatar", or something like that. If I really love it, then I might message the person. It gives you an idea of the person's interests, but I don't like to make assumptions based off of them either.

No. I sometimes assume people with the default AC:NL avatars are new to the forum though.

Actually, I agree with you. I was going to type out a reply but you already worded it better than I could have... I chose my avatar because I found it funny, not because it reflects my personality or interests.

I don't even understand how you could judge someone based off a tiny pic, lol.

but anyways I don't really like the term "judge people" it just sounds... Judgmental? I like to form opinions of people, not judge them.

A little, but not to the point where "lel this person has a stupid avatar so not talking to them". It's always interesting to see what people use as avatars though.

Same here. Expresses their interests. And if I don't know, I like to guess. Right now, I'm guessing Tom likes Street Fighter because his avatar looks a bit like Ryu.

I don't really pay attention to avatars but they give me an idea of what kinds of things people like or their humor.

Lel, I believe he mentioned it before being a Rune Factory 3 character, I forget the name.

The only things I really guess from avatars are their interests and gender, moreso with the latter.
