    I would say go for it. When I resetted I was afraid of the lost items and achivements. But I got them again. You can get your dreamies again, by cycling or someone can hold them for you. As for regional and dlc items someone can hold them for you, you can trade or buy them on here or on tumblr...

    Question about downloadable version

    I was worried about the same thing before I did transfer five months ago, but it did work out and till today I had no problems. Every game was in it's place like in my old 3DS. It should work out, I think. (Also I messed up, the new 3DS uses not SD cards but microSD cards.)

    Yes! When I transferred everything, everything was in it's place. But when I transferred I used the new SD card from my new 3DS, not my old SD card. If you are still unsure, maybe make a save data backup on your old SD card?

    Biggest regret throughout your time playing ACNL

    Timetraveling too much and losing villagers I like, not plot reseting. And letting Chief go. (Luckily I traded with someone, so I'm going to get him back.) I didn't think that a fictional animal could actually make me sad, lol.
