I'm currently in the process of making a new pixel base, from scratch, by MYSELF, so this problem will never occur again. I should've known better in the first place than to use anyone's art at all, even though it was given to me-- I should've checked into it better and made sure it wasn't a lie-- and I also should've just used my own base in the first place.
Please forgive me for all of the inconvenience.

I told the artist myself, made a DA just to contact them and tell them about the situation, which I believe is more sincere than anyone else would've done, because most people would've just either continued using it without their permission, or just not say anything to the artist at all. My signature art in my own signature will be replaced very soon as well, once I'm able to access a computer to scribble up a temporary image to hold its place.
I feel like such an idiot for all of this, but I fully intent to make sure that everyone gets new art since I am unable to refund bells. For the people that haven't picked up their art yet, I don't expect payment from them-- because I already feel terrible enough about this whole situation.

I'm actually going to need to make you a brand new one, with an entirely different base, since I was lied to by a "friend" who is now no longer a friend. They gave me permission to "use a base they made just for me" but it turns out that they were NOT the maker of the base-- they just edited another artist's pixelart and then gave me false permission. This whole ordeal has been terribly stressful, and I feel like such an idiot for believing that this person was sincere enough not to lie about something so serious. When I have time, due to me being extremely busy with some problems at home, I'm going to be doing "art refunds" to the people that want new art to replace the old that they now are being told is "stolen" art, although it was completely unintentional.
