Your Thoughts on Adult Cartoons

Possibly my all time Randomest Post-

I had a friend recently who practically disowned me, just for saying that I love, and regularly watch the show "South Park," which, isn't really the most Child Friendly show on Earth, so what are your thoughts on shows similar to that; South Park, The Simpsons, Drawn Together, Rick and Morty, Etc.?(Basically anything on Comedy Central)

south park is probably the worst show ever created but i dont have any opinions about animated shows for adylts in general.

they're great. i dislike gumball and adventure time for their XD RANDEM humour which is aimed at kids. i like rick and morty and south park, probably the only western cartoons i keep up to date with.

I get it if you don't understand the humor, but i cant understand people being actually against it...

I don't really watch them so I don't really care. I don't mind them, they're just not something I'm really into.

I can definitely see why some people don't like the Dark Humor of it- Such as all the Jew Jokes about Kyle, Mr. Garrison raping Canadians, all the stuff like that, but it's definitely one of the best at what it does XD

I dont keep up with many western cartoons sadly, but every now and then if i catch a show like south park on i'll watch it for a bit

The only thing I care for is The Simpsons but I don't really consider that an "adult cartoon". I watched it as a kid along with my brother and cousins and while I do appreciate some of the themes more now that I'm an adult, it's pretty child friendly.

Edit: That being said I haven't really watched more recent episodes, but apparently it didn't change all that much.

I liked the couple episodes of Futurama that I watched. I also liked Bob's Burgers. I don't really actively look for when they are on tv though. They are good for when you are bored and there is nothing else on.

True, Although it is "Considered" an Adult Cartoon, but the Humor isn't as Morbid as all the other Adult Cartoons, but it's not deemed Child Friendly enough for Cartoon Network/Nickelodeon, which is likely why it's the Middle Ground between Gumball and South Park, Also don't watch the new episodes, they are basically shadows of their former glory in Seasons 1-10 or so XD

I love South Park for its satire, don't really know what other cartoon I'd see as purely adult.
Drawn Together is the only other thing that comes to mind, which I also really enjoyed watching.

I can understand not liking or supporting these shows, but outright dismissing and ****talking them is just really stupid imo.

I agree, As South Park is actually a very deep show, advocating for Free Speech, although it is often looked down upon by it being masked by Fart jokes.

I like some of them. South Park is as much political and celebrity satire as it is dirty jokes, so I don't mind it. American Dad is amusing, and some of the shows on Adult Swim are pretty good.

I'm not overly fond of the shows that try to be as offensive as they can in the name of humor, however. Family Guy just plain annoys me.

I only like the mature adult ones. Ones where fart jokes and dick jokes are the main source of humour is ironically childish to me and I won't watch them.

i dont mind them, personally i love south park, although theyre newest seasons arent as funny as they used to be, still great though

Tbh a lot of adult cartoons in general don't appeal to me. Stuff like Family Guy is just ****ty and completely unfunny in every way possible. However, I absolutely love Rick and Morty, it's one of my favourite TV shows. It's so clever and interesting with some of the different concepts and ideas it explores, plus it's really funny. :')
