Alexa is a website that ranks all sites on the web based on popularity (hits, page views, etc... not exactly sure what) and is used by a lot of companies / people. So anyway, they get their info with the FF extension and IE toolbars. I've been using the FF extension for a while and it's pretty useful. But other than that, a couple years ago I was wondering if we could actually affect our rank if a bunch of people got it. They say it's impossible, but I don't know about that.

We were at a rank of about one million and after a bunch of us started using it we made it to 100k! So I'm wondering if people start using it again, if the rank will improve anymore.

To put it into perspective...
Yahoo is #1
Google #2
GoNintendo about #12k
Official AC site about #40k
TBT about #88k
AXA about #138k (but their forums are separate because of a different domain name)

There's a toolbar for IE people. I have FireFox though, so I've never used that one. It's pretty useful though. It tells you the rank of a site you're on and gives you a quick little graph.

It's not as much 'useful' than 'cool'.
I guess, but I think it's useful (for me at least) because I'm always interested in knowing if the site I'm on is popular or not.

yeah.if its popular than it may have a better chance of being a good website.although that wouldnt always work that way.

The Alexa extension isn't compatible with Windows Vista <_<
Ew! Then I can't load it up on my desktop and my tablet. My tablet is owned and leased by the school so they made sure that no foreign programs could wriggle itself onto the machines >.>

I wouldn't know why it can't be downloaded if you have Vista. But then again, I hear Vista sucks pretty bad.
