Would you keep a villager you loved if they destroyed a chunk of your town? I was campsite resetting for Hazel, found Kyle, and got so excited I dropped pursuing her for a while so I could move him in. I tried plot resetting, but it took hours and he kept picking bad spots. I figured out that a destructible rock had popped up where I wanted him, so he couldn't go there. It was late at night and I must have messed up at some point because his house stopped moving and kept reappearing in the worst place possible. I have proudly kept a long grove with every kind of tree for a long time and he decimated it. I don't want to do the 16 cycle because it's risky without a second copy to catch your dreamies if you mess up cycling.

What would people here do?

Nope, i would keep resetting if a dreamie wanted to move somewhere i didn't like.

Reason is because i had Merengue move into my town and I forgot to plot reset, she ended up moving right in front of my bridge and i tried dealing with it but it annoyed me so much after a few days. I decided to give her away to someone else and cycled 16 villagers out to get her back. When i got her back, i kept plot resetting til i was satisfied with her location.

His location was final. I tried tting back to the day he appeared in the campsite (thinking maybe I could bust the rock) and his house appeared fully formed when I checked as the new guy. That wouldn't happen, I don't think, if it wasn't his final location. So it wasn't a problem of whether or not I could keep resetting.

The location of the villager doesn't really bother me much to be honest and I think there are ways to work around anything (yeah, you may need to remodel your paths and re-plant some of the trees/flowers but other than that, I don't think it's such a biggy). I hate going through the process of creating an alt, building his/her house and then destructing it as it always leaves an ugly patch of dirt. My town is also really cramped so I'd inevitably have to ruin some stuff by just creating the alt.

if he's moved in, then yeah there's nothing you can do. If the location isnt too bad, just work around it. Its sad that he crushed your trees, but at least its not in a TERRIBLE location like in front of your home or in front of the bridge.

I don't have the ability to do the plot reset trick, but they have moved in terrible locations plenty of times, I either grin and bear it and try to rework my town around it in the most logical setting, or I got lucky with a villager I didn't like moving in, so it was easy to ask them to leave.

Peanut, my ultimate dreamie, moved halfway onto my path at my best spot ~ I don't care about it anymore. She's still staying no matter what and I've grown to love that spot again :3
