Wrong presents from Jingle?

So today I wanted to start giving my villagers their presents but apparently Jingle gave me the wrong presents? :c
I already tried to Google it but I only found informations like that Jingle will give you always the right presents and that the villagers won't change their wishes during December.

But, for example, Kiki asked for clothing and I don't even got clothing from Jingle, or Stitches asked for a doll but the only thing CLOSE to a doll was a lucky black cat and when I gave it to him he was like "uh, not what I expected".

This is my first Christmas in Animal Crossing, so I might have understood something wrong, but can someone help me, please? :/

This happened to me too. Did you time travel during Toy Day? That may cause the reset of your villager's wishes. What I did was TT back to the 23rd, got the Toy Day wishes again, then TT forward to Toy Day. It's a loong process, but good luck!

The Lucky Cats count as dolls. I know it's dumb but trust me, Marcie wanted a yellow doll and the closest thing to a doll I had was the Lucky Gold Cat. I gave that to her and it was exactly what she wanted apparently.

This happened to me, but I didn't TT. Lolly wanted something green, but in the end apparently wanted an electric guitar (which is red).
