to be honest, i think everyone with very few exceptions go through phases like this, in terms of posting... some people move faster from one phase to another, and some stay in certain phases longer than others, and some don't stay long enough to progress all the way:


1) New member (no idea what's going on, trying to get to know people, doesn't really have any friends yet)
2) Kinda gets the idea of how things go
3) Wants to become a mod/sage/etc so starts posting more often
4) Realizes they won't fulfill #3, starts to make better friends
5) Stops caring, takes a break
6) Comes back
7) Posts every now and then
Repeat #5-7

In my opinion, I was a way better forum member/poster a long time ago... I enjoy reading my old posts, to see how my views have changed, sometimes I can remember what I was thinking when I posted stuff... remember old people who replied and I haven't talked to in forever, etc. No reason to be embarassed/ashamed.
