That wouldn't be possible, seeing as how people without internet who have this game can't get the upgrade. It would be a bigger deal than a piece of clothing, which is why Nintendo only releases clothes and furniture.

It'll probably happen in the next game, if you think about it, all the travelling salesmen from WW now all have shops in the city, so Kicks will probably get a shop in the next game.
