Just wondering if any of you guys would buy any Gen 1 Pokemon games if Nintendo made them available in the eShop for the Virtual Console?

Thought it would be fun to see. I'll add a poll :)

Personally, I would as long as it was cheap like the Zelda games.

I would like to see that! Although I feel like Nintendo would have to go and fix all of the glitches.

Neither. The remakes are superior games, and I find it very hard to go back to older Pokemon games after playing the likes of Black/White and XY because of how much they've aged. You wouldn't even be able to trade if they did :/

No, I wouldn't. As much as I love the series, the first games have really not aged well at all. Even the 3rd Gen games look dated these days.

I had to say no. Even if it were cheap enough, I don't see myself buying it. I still go back to play Red and Blue on my Gamebody every now and then. I also have it on my computer to play whenever I'm bored or if I'm having internet problems.

No way. I personally own Red and my old Gameboy, and it's great on that system. What's one thing that has stayed and evolved with Pokemon? Connectivity. That's one of Pokemon's main selling points. Besides, how would you ever finish the PokeDex if you couldn't trade? I don't think it's necessary for RBY through RSE to ever come to the eShop.

I would, I'd love to be able to replay it handheld. I had it on my laptop a while back but I couldn't bear to play it for more than an hour. ~ Really don't enjoy PC gaming. And my old cartridges no longer hold save data so if I want to play them I have to keep my GBC on and can only play as long as the batteries last. :s

I'd love to, but honestly they should just remake it like HG/SS, but still sell it at a cheap price.

Possibly. I'd probably watch someone play it first before buying it to know what It's like on the 3DS.

You should just put a new battery in the cartridge :) It's really easy to do :D

They should release the newest version of the games, and make it possible to transfer via that thing that comes with Pok?Bank.

Well after you said that I thought I'd look up how to do it. ~saw a vid ages ago that required soldering and not having a soldering iron I didn't think of it again. But now I see how easy it is and that it really only needs tape and a battery I might have a go with Yellow and Gold.

Yeh, you can just use tape if you don't have a solder iron. Works just as well cos once the cartridge is shut again, it holds it anyway.

Good luck if you try it ^_^

No, because I can't catch them all on 3DS.

They need to release one GIANT game where it's possible to get them all XD I'd pay for that for sure.
