Would like some feedback on an oc!

Hopefully it's ok to make a thread like this. So for those who don't know, I recently made a new oc, hoppy! Though I'm not sure if he's that good or interesting. Here's some art and his backstory:

Hoppy is a jackalope, which is a combination of a rabbit and a deer. He is a result of his mom being a deer, and his dad being a rabbit. He was also born with a very long tail as a mutation, but his parents refused to have it cut off because they thought it made him unique. His long tail has caused some to confuse him for a wolpertinger, but he doesn't mind the mix up. After all, he is quite similar to one, without wings! He's best friends with wishy the koalox, and lives in his village as a egg painter, and more frequently than not lets wishy get a few freebies.
The reason why I'm asking this is because as you all know, kourage is the story I'm working on and it seems really popular, and I was thinking about adding wishy and hoppy to the story. But I wanted you hear your input first, because I don't want to make a decision that many disagree with for the story. So what do you guys think? Is hoppy an interesting enough character for kourage? Or should wishy and hoppy get thier own story?

First, just want to tell you that no matter what, you should follow your heart and your gut instinct on combining them into one story or not. Maybe Wishy and Hoppy could have their own story but have cameo appearances in Kourage's story! Regardless of what you do, I LOVE Wishy and Hoppy so much

I am not a storyteller, but you are an amazing storyteller! So, I won't offer any advice, because I think whatever you do will be the right decision!

Kourage, Hope, Wishy and Hoppy are all amazing OCs. I really love Hoppy's backstory! ❤

Koopa, I really "hop" you don't mind that I sketched your OC Hoppy together with my Li'l Ears! The instant I saw him I knew I just HAD to! He's the cutest, sweetest thing I ever saw, and I love his backstory! Your storytelling is seriously so wonderful and wholesome, and you put so much thought, heart and soul into it, it's amazing!

The way I see it, adding new OCs to a story opens up a door to so many possibilities, and it's a fun way to explore and expand on the world you create wherein your OCs live. Kourage, Hope, Wishy and Hoppy.... They're all so zany and really delightful OCs! I can already picture them going on lots of adventures together, but no matter what you do, as long as you enjoy doing it then that's all that matters ☺​

OH MY GOSH I LOVE THIS! You're right, I think I'm going to let wishy and hoppy get a spot in kourage! After all, I didn't want realize how cute hoppy was until you drew him lol, and he definitely doesn't deserve more attention!

here's my experimental cartoony take on your OC. I drew inspiration from some old cartoons.

If you need feedback. from an artistic standpoint, I'd say practice drawing and experiment with styles and shapes. From writing standpoint, I'd say it's a good and promising start. I'd like to see more new and potential artists improve! Otherwise, it's a good OC.

Thanks for the advice! Honestly it's really fun drawing these Ocs and coming up with backstories for them! As for different styles, i'm actually working on a more realistic picture of hoppy next, so look forward to that!
