So! The new WoW expansion was announced. Mists of Pandaria. Is anybody excited? I know I am! Does anybody here even play WoW? Well anyways. Discuss.

Here's a bunch of videos about the new expansion.

Hello, This is a very awesome expansion from what I've gathered. I absolutely love the idea of 'monks'. That has pretty much re-lit my flame for World of Warcraft.

For about a year I played a much different MMO known as Dungeons and Dragons Online (DDO). The class I played on that game was monk, from what I've read the monks that will come to Azeroth are very similar to those of DDO. This is by means of weapons and their unique 'chi'. Perhaps the axes and swords are a bit over the top in terms of a monk... but I guess we'll live.

And about the new race, Pandas... I don't exactly support this race but maybe the combo will prove for a much better experience compared to a Pandaren warrior or something along those lines.

I used to play wow, I quit this summer because our guild became super lame when 10 and 25man progressed the same. Mostly, everyone who was a....um...jerk (putting it nicely) was taken to a 10man and left everyone else to fend for themselves =/ I was an amazing disc-priest and wasnt taken because the Mage who was guild leaders friend pretty much said "Oh I'm going to try being a disc-priest this xpac" I got rejected because he wanted to try it -_-. All well, sorry to complain lol

Aaaaanyway, this is cool and all but I'm kinda tired of playable animal characters....

I'm in it for the monks man :) Except the fact they have no auto attack is kind of weird... I don't know how that'll go.

So it is like the Death Knights with the Pandarians? I am going to get the annual pass so I can beta test :D.

No, Pandarens are a race that start at level 1, when you've completed the starting area at level 10 you get choose either Alliance or Horde. Monks are unlike Death Knights too, they're just a new class that starts at level 1.

Anyway, I haven't played WoW since last December shortly after Cataclysm launched, I got my Druid to 85 but never really geared it or anything because I quit for Christmas and never renewed my subscription. Thinking of coming back for pandas though, and the Annual Pass sounds really appealing. Diablo 3 for free ftw <3

My main point is it is choose your own fraction like the DKs but not being able to start at level 55.

Death Knights aren't a race, they're a class. Pandaren are a race. Pandaren are the first race to be able to be chosen on both factions.

How does the annual pass thing work?

You basically sign a contract to say that you will be subscribed to World of Warcraft for the next year, there's no way to cancel your subscription but you can still pay on a monthly basis or with time cards, etc. In return you get Diablo 3 for free when it comes out, as well as Mists of Pandaria beta access and a WoW in-game mount.

If you fail to pay for a month it'll be just like any other contract, you'll get an overdraft with your bank.

Pretty much selling your soul to Blizzard.
