wireless router help

Well i have a wireless routr but when i connect it up to my modem the wifi works on the wii but not on the computer can anybody help i will take a pic of the modem if you can help >_<

Plug one ethernet cable into the phone jack, and the other end into the modem. Then, take a second ethernet cable and plug one end into the modem and one end into the router. Then, take a third ethernet cable and connect the router to your computer. It should work.

if that doesn't work, You arn't paying for Wifi through your provider

im paying for wifi and i will try what pear40 said tomorrow and i don't have a phone jack with a ethernet ports heres what i do

i plug a ethernet cable in the router and the other end into the modem then i use my other ethernet cord and plug it in to my computer and then to the 2 ethernet port on my router and then wifi works on my wii but i can not open up a web page like google whats wrong?

If you're not connected to a phone jack then you can't get internet connection. The Wii probably works because it's connected to a neighbor's wifi.

nope i run the linksy router and search for a access point and where can i find a phone jck that has a ethernet port pear? wait let me take a pic to show you there a bit sloppy
