Wii U Eshop ID.

I used to have a Wii U and sold it, but I wiped the whole system before getting rid of it. I just got a new one today and it won't let me link my Nintendo ID to the system because it says it's already linked to another one. But I wiped the other one before getting rid of it.
I have games I bought digitally and I can't get to them without it letting me on my own account. Any way to fix this?

All I can think of is you would have to get your old Wii U back and un-link the NNID from it to be able to link it to the new one. When you wipe your system I'm pretty sure it doesn't get rid of the NNID associated with it.

Well that's not a possibility. I sold it to someone on eBay last year.
I have the ID linked just fine to my 3DS, never had problems with that. But like I said I wiped the system and it won't allow me to link it to a new one.

Update. I called Nintendo, they just had to verify games I downloaded and such, and will send me an email to transfer the ID to my new system.

Yeah for some reason Nintendo is still behind on the whole Wii U NNID thing but has seemingly got it down for 3DS, so I don't know what the heck they're doing with NN.
