wifi issues where there were no wifi issues before?

So I've somehow run into issues Wi-Fi-ing with people and I don't know why or what happened. I did a decent amount of villager sales and trades and even just visits with friends and then suddenly started having errors like failure to connect with other system, or even just something went wrong try again, some don't even have error codes. I have done one trade since it started happening but now it's happening every time whether I'm the host or the traveller and I'm frustrated. Any tips to troubleshoot or ideas what happened? I spent 45 minutes on the phone with my internet company trying to make sure my WiFi itself wasn't the problem and am really hoping I don't have to do the same with Nintendo

Hmm, have you tried completely disconnecting the wifi on your ds like taking out its remembered connections and everything and manually setting it back up? You could also try a system restore if you have everything saved on backup sd card.
