Why won’t Marina give me her photo?!

am I just having unbelievably horrible luck?! I am so frustrated here and can’t figure out if I’m experiencing a glitch or what.

Marina is at max friendship level, she has approached me asking to buy items from my inventory. I give her wrapped foreign fruit every day and have for weeks. I gave her a top tier gift for her birthday a few weeks back and just got a stupid shirt in the mail the next day. Now I’m resetting repeatedly to get her to give me the photo in exchange for a daily gift (I’ve tried both the usual foreign fruit and now an iron wall lamp). I have done this for a cumulative total of over 2 hours now and tried dozens and dozens of times. anyone have any idea what’s going on here?

for a while I was paranoid I had already gotten her photo and sold it or something without realizing, but that seems extremely unlikely. I always take screenshots when villagers give me their photos and I checked my camera roll for one of Marina.

I've had Fauna since April and have been at max friendship level for coming up on two months now. Still no picture. I feel you.

I had no big problems with RNG so far but the photo's are killing me... Just 1 so far

HAHAHAHA unbelievable. Literally the first try after I finally made this post (probably my 20th or 25th try just today), she just gave me the freaking photo. So yeah, it was RNGesus being ridiculously cruel to me.

For reference, the chances were 10.2% each time and it took me probably over 50 tries over the last two weeks. Baaaaad luck.

RNG is terrible sometimes... I've been trying for weeks to get Flurry's photo but ultimately got annoyed and traded her away when she got a thought bubble (which I intended to do after getting her photo lol)
