I swear I think the game makers intentionally made it so that the villagers we talk to most(because we like them) always want to leave and the ones we talk to least(cause they know we don't like them as much) will never leave.
I make it a point to always talk to the villagers I like and to keep them from leaving(Molly,Shep,Spork). The main ones I do want to leave are Gigi and Rocket so of course they never say they are gonna leave.
Yesterday Rocket finally told me she was moving and I was so happy. I had two options: something in the vein of don't go ad who are you? I thought that was a little mean but I picked it anyway. And what does she do? She gets all offended that I'm willing to let her go just like that and now she's staying until we are better friends! What?!
Of course she's staying. Yes let's become best friends and then you'll leave cause that makes so much sense. I really wish they would have made a better system for moving villagers out. We should be able to convince people we don't like/want to move.
I should just make friends with her then I bet she would leave. Smh.

Yes!! The game is cruel like that, but you know what when you pick the option before "who are you" it doesn't end with them moving either.

I can remember one of my villagers who I wanted to let go of asked me to move and it gave me the option of the "who are you" and I thought that was so mean and cold hearted so i didn't pick it because i'm a softy and i told them to stay and they still stayed so i guess some of those moving options are just big cosmic jokes the devs like to make.

I just got to the point of using the amiibo cards on villagers i wanted to move out. it's so much easier to deal with and you're not waiting around for it.

If I know someone is ready to move, and I'm cycling through days to get a ping, don't do anything else with your day. Walk around, find the mover, if it's who you want and they leave, great. Save. If they don't, reset the game and try them again. Sometimes their answer or moving dialogue changes. Also after they say they're moving, don't talk to them. They give you the chance to change their mind; one wrong slip and it's down the drain and they're staying again. Best wishes.

I learned not to talk to them when Rowan changed his mind. I don't normally get the who are you as a choice when someone wants to move. Now that I got it with someone I did want to move I wonder if they will always change their mind if you choose that one.I never thought to reset after that but I'll remember that in future, thanks.

Honestly, I just use the amiibo cards after getting the full 10 villagers. Then you can just use Wisp to decide who moves in and who moves out. Vivian?s Wisp was the best ever... ?Who is your least favorite...? Vivian has me from day 1, bro.

I didn't know you could use amiibo cards to move villagers in and out, that's awesome. Also, I find it the best to send letters to your favorite villagers every couple of days, maybe you could send letters and say "please never leave me" maybe it will work!

I moved her in not long ago and replaced another wolf.

Vivian is the nicest villager I've had so far.

I WISH the game detects what our letters say, but I don't think so. Sending letter helps building relationship, and in this game building relationship would just make their chances of moving out HIGH.

Basically, those who will move are those you have high relationships with OR those who moved in newly but you never talked to them. The reason those you have so-so relationships don't want to move out is because they want to be friends with you. So I'm doing any request Shari wants. It takes time but I find it better to make them move out once you get their pics.

LOL the “who are you” option just sounds toooo mean sometimes I just let them stay because I don’t want to click it. U_U
