The only villager I actually chose was Bluebear and I did because she is incredibly cute.
My only for real dreamie is Lucky because he was in my ACWW town and I LOVED him (though he moved out before I could snag a picture because I TT-ed a lot in WW).

Chrissy, Hamlet, Phoebe: Purely cuteness factor.
Lily: She was my favourite villager in AC:CF.
Lobo: He is the only original villager left in my town, and while in the beginning I didn't plan on keeping him, he grew on me.
Marshal: He came from my campsite, plus he's an adorable marshmallow.
Savannah: She was my favourite village in AC:WW.
Zucker: I love takoyaki, plus he's adorable.
Lily: She was my favourite villager in AC:CF.
Lobo: He is the only original villager left in my town, and while in the beginning I didn't plan on keeping him, he grew on me.
Marshal: He came from my campsite, plus he's an adorable marshmallow.

Tiffany - she's my favorite villager, hands down. I love her design, even though so many people hate it, because she reminds me of a classic pin-up girl.
Cherry - in my opinion, the only Uchi that isn't ugly.
Bruce - I wanted a deer villager and I just happen to think he's the cutest. He is also my favorite personality type, cranky.
Punchy - He was one of my villagers in the original AC for Gamecube, couldn't let him go!
Pecan - She's been in every AC town I've had since I first started playing Animal Crossing. another keeper.
Cheri- Same as Punchy and Pecan. I also needed a peppy villager that wasn't a squirrel, cat, or rabbit.
Gala - I wanted species variation within my villager and she is the only pig that I think is cute.

Only using my main town for this one:
I was pretty excited to meet the new personalities when starting NL. O'Hare the smug rabbit moved in and rest was history. I get teased about my obsession with this chocolate Easter bunny. His hat is adorable too. He's my oldest villager living in town. He is never aloud to move out on me.
Bones was never meant to live in Zombie a year and yet he is still here. He was a street pass move in. He really grew on me to be honest. I feel like I just can't let him go. Plus he moved in right next to Bob all on his own. I just picture them as best friends hanging out at each others houses and chilling over food.
Bob the cat I had in WW and was one of my favorite villagers there. So in NL I wanted Bob for nostalgia reasons.
Octavian was for the same reason as Bob. only cranky in ww to win me over. (not a big fan of crankies)
Katt was in my Valley town for a themed town that never went anywhere.(i just don't have the time to focus on it) Katt also grew on me. When I found her in boxes I didn't want to lose her. She may not be pretty but I feel like her tough looking design fits her personality very well. She is really cool instead of cute to me.

I'm only going to post the villagers that are for sure staying in my town, since I'm still waiting for a few to move out so I can get the rest of my dreamies.
Molly -- I really like the duck villagers overall, but Molly is the cutest of them all ^_^ I love how she looks like a little mallard duckling.
Octavian -- I had Marina in my town in WW, and she was my favorite so I wanted an octopus in my town in this version ^_^
Marshal-- This little guy's expression is to die for ^_^ So "sulky"!

My current villagers were from the Campsite or random move-ins. I decided that I wasn't going to obtain my "dreamies" with my current town.

I chose Zucker because he resembles takoyaki! That is one of my favourite foods after sushi. He is also adorable for an octopus. Then again, the 3 octopuses in the series are lovable. (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧
Marina was one of my first villagers in AC:WW and she stayed the longest in my town. Who wouldn't love a strawberry pink octopus? Not only were we great pals from the past, she has the cutest initial phrase "blurp". I ship her with Zucker as well. (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧
Fauna is my sweetheart in the game. She looks a lot like Bambi to me. I love being pen pals with her and she doesn't mind me chatting with her the most. Usually she makes me smile without any effort. I get sad whenever I see her get sick or gloomy. @ n @ I ship her with Beau too, haha! They are so close with either in my town. (✿◠‿◠)
I never thought Apple would be a dreamie. She was one of the starters when I created my town. She grew on me. I love how she walks around town with her tiny body. Her huge eyes are charming too. ; w ;
Beau is so cute and funny! I love his innocent face and droopy eyes. The fact that he is an antelope makes everything cooler. They are one of my favourite animals. I will never get tired of him talking about his love for food. I feel like I'm the most similar to him in game.
Mira is a superhero bunny! She reminds me of Sailor Venus and ugh, I love her design! We are sailor moon buddies PHO SHO. ( ͡? ͜ʖ ͡?)
Marshal is awesome because he fluffs up like a marshmallow. I just want to stuff my face in his furry tail. Omg, that sounded perverted but it's true! :c Smug personalities are also my favourite and I love doodling him in real life. ♥‿♥
Fang has the nicest design out of all the wolves in my opinion. He looks so badass but ravishing. o(╥﹏╥)o
Diana looks like a cotton candy cloud nymph or some sort of fairy. The design of her pastel colour schemes are absolutely gorgeous and elegant. She reminds me a lot of my friend irl. I blush everytime I see her napping... AHBDJHDEJWHF >////<
Rudy is the cutest cat in my opinion. I love his colour scheme. He is simple and yet easily draws attention with that red nose of his.

pietro: ever since i heard about this new sheep, i fell in love. i looove clowns, and his character design is so adorable. the smug personality type is also my favourite. his "voice" is also super cute.
apollo: since i was young, apollo has been a favourite. he always reminded me of that hot, aggressive older guy that i would fall for (sad truth, always after the old guys). bald eagles are also incredibly beautiful which makes him more appealing to me. he's a nice guy, get's along w me well.
kitty, olivia & pinky: first off they're both damn adorable. like apollo, these three have been my companions for YEARS. if they're not in my town, i feel incomplete, as if i stopped speaking to my best friend. especially pinky, she's the sweetest thing. sometimes i forget she's not an uchi villager. she's so cute when she gets excited omg she's a must have
drago: well my town theme is "medieval" and i kind of decided not to get the more serious-looking-knight animals, so i gotta at least have the dragon
lionel: aside from bud, i never really found any of the lion villagers cute/cool. but then i stumbled upon lionel once in a dream town and fell in love omg he's so cute and posh looking
tia: she's just hella cute and i like the big animals~~ never spoken to her, but i hope when the town theme plays when i speak to her it gets played by the big drums
genji: he just makes me laugh. he reminds me of naruto idk why haha

Skye - I knew I wanted a couple of wolves, but once Skye moved in and I saw her with Chief I knew that I had the two best wolves in the game (for me!) She is so so adorable and her catchphrase is just the cutest!
Erik - My main deer man! I mean he's a reindeer guys, what's not to love! And have you seen the inside of his house? I instantly feel cosy whenever I visit.
Merengue - Saw her originally and thought she looked cool design wise, but wanted to try her in my town first. As soon as she moved in I found her visiting Julian (They are BFF's) and all the other villagers seemed to instantly love her too, and she is just adorable!
Julian - My only choice for a Smug villager! Unicorns ftw really, and I love how his personality suits him so much, he has the cutest house exterior ever, and seems to get along with everyone in town! He's also been with me the longest so I'd never let him go!
Molly - Originally Molly wasn't even a dreamie, but I saw her somewhere and thought I'd try her in my town. She then proceeded to plot in the exact spot I wanted her on the first go, and as soon as I saw how tiny she was in comparison to everything, and just how freakin cute she was, I knew she wasn't moving again!
These last guys aren't in my town yet but I'm confident they will be my final dreamies unless another Molly comes along and blows me away lol!
Diana - Undoubtedly the villager I was most excited for in NL, she just looked so sophisticated and awesome, and had the best house set up! Can't wait to have her bossing around my other villagers!
Fauna - Getting her very soon which will be awesome! I had her once when I was still playing around with map resetting and such, and the first day she moved in she walked out of her house and started watering plants and I just couldn't believe how lovely she was, and knew when I reset that I would have to get her again (Even though she is my fourth Normal villager!)
Flora - Matches Fauna which is pretty neat, and I just like her design so much, and I really think the peppy personality will sit on her well!
Bam - Took the longest to choose, because A) I haven never particularly warmed to the Jock personality and B) Already have 3 other Deer I adore, but really he is just a total cutiepie, he's blue and he has freckles so I think I can handle him talking about sports all the time regardless!
As you can see I took a LOT of time to decide my final villagers and as you can imagine I am vigilant about making sure none of them move out, and knock on wood I won't ever have an accidental in boxes incident!
I loved reading about everyone else's villager choices, it's so nice to see the reasons people pick faves, makes me feel a little less odd about how I picked mine hehe

Bunnie, Hamlet, and Cranston are three of my original villagers; they've been here the longest and since they have been here for so long, I've grown to like them a lot.
Pekoe and Phoebe fit my town's theme. Pekoe is my sister's favorite villager and I also think she's cute :3 Phoebe is my uchi villager and I ultimately decided to get her instead of Mira since her color scheme and house would fit in more of my town Plus she's a phoenix.
Maple, Lolly, and Rosie are cuties and they fit in with my town's cute theme x3
Mint and Anchovy were villagers I had in WW and I liked them a lot, so of course I had to incorporate some of that nostalgia from WW into my town, so here they are

Well, out of the acquired dreamies I have...
Lucky: He was one of the first villagers I felt like I absolutely had to have. I know some people think he's creepy or sad because he's a mummy dog, but his appearance evokes a lot of sympathy for me. Like I want to make sure he's happy and healthy. I don't know, I love dogs IRL too. Lucky is super cute to me.
Marina: She showed up in my campsite one day and I thought to myself that I'd just sell her later. I wound up really loving her, so I don't intend on letting her go. I guess she chose me in a way. Her design is really sweet and cute. I even had a dream where she left without telling me and woke up worried that actually happened.
Paula: I love the uchi personality and I think her appearance really fits the personality. Pretty, but understated and mature. She reminds me of cool ladies that are a few years older than me that I wish were my big sister.
Keaton: I adopted him on a whim to fill up an empty spot in my town because I thought his colors were really pretty. I later realized they're parakeet colors and thought it was really cute an eagle had parakeet colors. I think he's become my favorite smug. I guess we chose each other? I dunno. His eyelashes remind me of Kamina and I really like him as well.
Peggy: Someone somewhere pointed out that she looked like Mako Mankanshoku, who was already a character I thought was pretty cute. Peggy slowly grew on me until I decided to adopt her. I don't plan on getting rid of her anytime soon. I get a little sad when people say they hate all pig villagers when there's this cutie. Something's really endearing to me about a chubby pig lady being a diva.

Paula: I love the uchi personality and I think her appearance really fits the personality. Pretty, but understated and mature. She reminds me of cool ladies that are a few years older than me that I wish were my big sister.
Keaton: I adopted him on a whim to fill up an empty spot in my town because I thought his colors were really pretty. I later realized they're parakeet colors and thought it was really cute an eagle had parakeet colors. I think he's become my favorite smug. I guess we chose each other? I dunno. His eyelashes remind me of Kamina and I really like him as well.
Peggy: Someone somewhere pointed out that she looked like Mako Mankanshoku, who was already a character I thought was pretty cute. Peggy slowly grew on me until I decided to adopt her. I don't plan on getting rid of her anytime soon. I get a little sad when people say they hate all pig villagers when there's this cutie. Something's really endearing to me about a chubby pig lady being a diva.

Mitzi: She was a starter in Wild World and my absolute favourite! She ended up moving to my brothers town though ;c When I was picking dreamies I straight away went for her as my normal.
Chief: Similar to Mitzi though he wasn't a starter. Had him in City Folk and disliked him and first but he ended up really growing on me and he is now my favourite villager :>
Rosie: A starter in New Leaf. I wanted to keep one starter and by the time I got to deciding dreamies my other starters had packed up and moved so she ended up staying.
Punchy: I stumbled upon him in a dream address and practically fell in love haha. I planned to have two lazies but when moved away by accident and he ended up being who I kept.
Kid Cat: After losing the second lazy in my town I ended up wanting to have one of each personality so after I finished the 16 villager cycle for Chief I set out to choose a lazy and uchi. Kid Cat ended up standing out for me.
Deirdre: Like Kid Cat I chose her after I lost a few dreamies to cycling. I'm not particularly fond of uchis and there isn't many of them. I happened to already have Deirdre and Muffy in my town whom I gained when cycling. I don't really like the sheep species so gave Muffy away and kept Deirdre (plus I figured she could be friends with Zell since they're both deer).
Zell: I was hovering around the villager trading plaza when I saw Zell was up for adoption but no one seemed to want him. He looked cute so I figured "haha why not?" and adopted him. He's my second favourite villager now.
Marshal: Basically I met him in a dream address and figured he was super cute. Plus he was the first smug I had met so it was pretty unique for me. I happened to get him for free and at first I was considering regiving him away until him and Zell became besties.
Freya: Freya was pretty much a last resort villagers. I've already mentioned I wanted one of each personality so she ended up being my snooty. I went from Purrl then Diana to Freya. I basically settled on Freya because she was a wolf and one of the very few snooties left I liked. I'm hoping I grow to like her a lot as time passes :>

Oh and Skye was for when Chief was a lonely lil wolf without any friends (before I got Freya). When looking at Lolly for my second normal Skye happened to be in the dream address I was visiting and man she was cute. Ended up choosing her hehe :>

I didn't choose most of my villagers; they were random move-ins or starters. I did ask three of them to move when we met at the campsite: Marshal, Mira, and Marina. I thought they were cute. No other reason! LOL
My three dreamies are: Maple, Rudy, and Molly. Maple was in my WW town and I adored her. She was my BFF there. I'd love to have her again. I've seen Molly in several NL towns and she's just as cute and sweet as Maple. Rudy just looks adorable.
I'm not stressed about getting my dreamies. If they move in, great! If not, okay. I will not buy a villager from someone. I'm just enjoying my game.

Coco - YES A THIRD NORMAL I KNOW. I wish they have more nuances in personality, because I don't like having 3 of the same personality in my town, but I legit can't stand peppy's in New Leaf (their dialogue irks me, it makes me sad because I really like a bunch of them). Coco has been in EVERY SINGLE GAME I played, she's cute, and her role in my town is quite important (at least in my head, she's the guardian of the forest)
Genji and Blanche - following my town theme, they both help Coco with the forest. They take care of her and lead all the festivals and traditions of our little village. I thought that they were the most fitting ones (and I finally had one excuse to have a snooty -I love them in NL- that matched my town nicely)

Tadaima: Octavian, Zucker, Marina, Punchy, Curt, Kabuki, Genji, Wendy, Ankha, and Clay.
I knew early on...I wanted all the octopi. I love them so it's really about that more than anything. Zucker's theme and coloring would be my favorite. Punchy I chose because he reminds me of my cat that passed. Curt, Kabuki, and Genji fit my town theme and I grew a sentimental attachment cycling through them and giving them away....which made me want them for my own lol. Wendy I just adore color wise and she's just too cute in personality. Ankha I love theme wise and I'm fond of her snooty-ness. Clay is a recent addition...my absolute favorite character Katt moved from a hiatus and mistake in returning to last play date. I don't have the energy to cycle 16. Clay fits my theme and he's really adorable. I fell in love with him from my cycle town.
Acorn: Skye, Lobo, Molly, Bill, Alfonso, Erik, Rocco, Carmen, Katt,
I really love Skye's design and really loved interacting with her. Same with Lobo. I can't get enough of his lazy eye look. Bill was sentimental from gamecube days and Molly makes a perfect cute pair lol. Alfonso is my favorite alligator and I really wanted one in my second town. Rocco I became attached to from my cycling town and just couldn't say goodbye. My friend had Erik in his town and I really loved speaking with him all the time...it made me kinda wish I kept him when cycling through him in the past. He fits my theme and my friend didn't want him. I plan to add Carmen who was a starter in my first town eventually...I really miss her and would like to have her again. I'll also add Katt since I lost her in my first and she'll fit better with this town anyhow. Then for my last I'll probably do Coco since she fits well and I adore her...I also lost her due to my hiatus mistakes so I will need to cycle for her (though since I have less dreamies in this town...it won't be so hard). If not Coco, then Tucker would be my next choice.
