Why did you choose each of your villagers?

I'm just curious to see what everyone else's reasons were for choosing the dreamies or current residents of your town if you haven't gotten all of your dreamies yet.

Chevre/Nan were my two favorite ACWW villagers in that order and now i finally have the two of them together in my town. I saw Sprinkle in an instagram post and i was like omg you are so cute c: was very happy when a cycler told me they had her in their cycling town and she joined the family within my town. Julian replaced my Pietro who plotted terribly and he was the only other smug i liked and a friend sold him to me since i didn't want to cycle 16 for Pietro, my Pietro is with a friend now. Fang is my cranky and since i decided to change it up when i reset (5 of my past villagers came with me) Fang ended up replacing Chief as my cranky. I love the sheep in ACNL so i had 3 back in my old town and Muffy is the only one still with me that made the journey, i am not a big fan of uchi's personally but she's my favorite of the bunch. Papi and Beau i didn't like when i first saw them but they both grew on me suddenly so i have two lazies in my town c: my snooty was between a few of them and i decided on Freya since i think her and Fang would be cute together except Fang likes Muffy and Freya seems to be besties with Sprinkle. Lastly i saw Tia in a friends Main Street and i instantly fell in love with her and she replaced Rudy since i wasn't very attached to him.

Incase you actually decided to read all that (lol) what are your reasons for picking your dreamies/current residents?

I chose Zucker and Pancetti because they were in my old town and I didn't know about dreamies but I loved them. Mint moved in and I loved her so I kept her, I liked Bruce, Fuchsia, Roald and Marshal because of their design. And me and Annalise have a super strong connection plus I think she's pretty.

I don't know enough about any of the villagers to have chosen any of mine. xP
I chose Fang, Eloise, Bubbles, Ribbot, Ed, Colton, Poppy, Fuchsia, Clay, & Cookie because they moved into my town at the beginning.

some of my dreamies i'm still uncertain/undecided about but the ones that i'm certain about and why:
ankha - egypt is awesome. the ancient egyptians worshiped cats and the pharaoh was seen as a god. cats + god = cat god. also cat god being a lady is even more awesome cause most ppl think god is a male??? B( not in my town. ankha is the ruler of all
mitzi - cause my irl cats are the same kind of cat as her (siamese) so i instantly became attached to her
ribbot - robo frog what's more to love?
the other "dream" villagers i don't have a very defined reason for picking them and are subject to change

I picked Beau, Bam, Fuchsia, Diana and Zell mostly because I love the Deer, they're all so adorable. I did have Fauna and Bruce but I accidentally TT'd them out. ; 3;
I have Whitney and Rosie who weren't my favourite at the time but I've really grown to like them and they've been living in my town for over a year. Then I have Merengue and Marshal who are just the cutest~ and Sprinkle who came from my second town by accident.. she's kind of cute but I didn't really want her..>_<

Three of my current villagers are starters I really like, two are surprise move ins I became attached with, the next four were dreamies (I did the reset trick), and the last one is a camper I invited to my town (my favourite villager from my Wild World town). I was so happy to have her in my New leaf town again I wish we could have more villagers and I think about having a second town soon. I`d love new faces and a lot of the cat villagers.

I didn't chose Elvis and Benjamin, they've been in my town since the beginning and I'm so glad for that since they are awesome villagers.
I chose the others because they were cute or cool looking and have some distinct characteristics like Tia the teacup elephant. All of them are in my town based on design and personality types. I always feel like I need to have every single personality type, especially in the beginning when I wanted to unlock all the pwps. So that's a major reason for whom I chose as dreamies.
I'd be happy if all villagers would be able to move into my town, but I just didn't want most of them to move on top of my paths and hybrids and so I decided to choose dreamies because of that reason too. I'm happy it worked out though since I'm definitely attached to them and they all are of different species too which is good for variety sake.

I chose Antonio because he was in my NL game when I first started and I loved his personality, so when I reset I just -had- to get him again. I chose fauna because she's sweet and pretty and she just makes me happy with her cheery personality. Then I chose Marshal (spent a month trying to get him) because my friend had him in her town and I just fell in love with everything about him.

I met Poppy in my campsite in my very first town and she instantly became my favorite new villager! She's so adorable, I'm surprised she's not more popular. I've wanted Rosie since Wild World days and I could finally get her in New Leaf. My town is flower-themed, so Daisy and Lily also became my dreamies since they're also very adorable. I used to like having Whitney as my snooty, but I was looking at the different species of villagers and noticed how cute the sheep were, and Willow became my favorite, so I replaced Whitney since I wasn't really attached to her. When I first joined the online community, I saw how popular "Marshal" was and looked him up, and I couldn't resist the cute, plus he's the only smug character I like. I traded Marina for him back when he was way harder to get. Marina has grown on me now, but I have too many normal dreamies (there are so many more I wish I had room for in my town!) Both her and Ankha were original villagers of mine, but I never liked Ankha and let her move out without realizing how popular she was. D: Pashmina was the only uchi I liked, but Ive had her for a long time and got attached. Bob used to be my dreamie, but I stopped liking him for some reason and replaced him with Beau, who had also grown on me. I also have a lot of villagers I love because of nostalgia who were in my GC/WW/CF towns, but I just ended up getting most of their pictures. So yeah!

majority of the villagers I have I chose were based on looks. genji and pecan are the only ones I didn't choose. they were my originals for each town I have. They grew on me so why not keep them. anyway genji makes me laugh so that's big plus +++ I picked Apollo is a very different way. I was watching a walkthrough and they had apollo in their town. automatically I wanted him in my town and he was the 9th villager to move in. talk about luck. I almost kept angus and teddy since they grew so much on me as well, but I had to let go of angus ): and teddy was adopted. I hope that person is taking good care of him.

I choice Marina because I love marine biology.

I kept Rosie because my dog who died recently was named Rosie.

And I picked Boomer because who doesn't like a chubby little penguin who puts his house in the worst spot ever.

the villagers currently in my town that I chose are:

benjamin - chose him/wanted him for a while because he was one of my fave villagers from my old town. when I reset again I'll probably keep an eye out for him again.
bluebear - someone was giving him away and he looked cute enough so I decided to take him. he's so so cute, and I've had him for a while now. I love him.
roald - after my beloved cube moved out I needed a replacement he's cute but not really my fave
ruby - chose her when she was camping a few days ago. her red eyes are fab so~
olivia - picked her up months ago when she was camping in my town. she has since become of one of my fave cats.
freya - was camping in my town when I chose her. looooove her.

I don't really have dreamies per se. I want to start being a bit more selective though because specific villager personalities are obviously something important to look for when you want a certain PWP

Dogs are great. I like all of them but I didn't choose Marcel and Portia because they where the last two when I picked randomly even though they are still awesome. Lucky and Daisy moved out.

But then I come to school and get random villagers from Streetpass that I don't even want. (Case in-point, Mott)

The only three I didn't draw where Biskit, Bones, and Walker and this is why.
Biskit- Unlike most I played City Folk for almost 3 years. I had Biskit in all 3 off them. My favorite color is orange and I have his same style. I nicknamed him Basic Biskit. I kept resetting my town until I got him.
Bones-In animal crossing wild world he was my favorite villager and I got his picture first.
Walker-He has great choice in music and will be known as the funniest villager in my animal crossing history. I think it's awesome that he calls his furniture the Walker set.
