Why am i not getting streetpass items?!

So how most know I'm in Tokyo I've been meeting tons of people at my gate on streetpasss
But I'm not getting anything! I have gotten like 50 people today and nothing! What's wrong with it?!?!??!!?

You have to pass by the same person more than once to get a normal balloon.
If you pass by someone only once, you don't get anything :c

You have to streetpass the same person two times before you start getting the toys at the showcase, so I'm guessing that's why.

I streetpassed my sis 15 times!!! We have been spreading out at times and it picks her up sometimes!

What happens when you go to meet your sisters character at the showcase? No items? Just "hello"?

And the character you're going there with is the one whose house will be displayed at other people's showcases? That's the only problem I can imagine, besides it being a bug.

Actually, now that I think about it, that can't be it. But what I was getting at is that only one character/house can be associated with the showcase per town. So if you have more than one, you have to choose. But that wouldn't stop you from getting stuff from streetpasses. Sorry about the confusion

aw really? i streetpass the same person everyday at school yet they don't have NL :c man if they did i'd be getting streetpass items a lot.

A lot of people in Japan have NL that I passed but I'm item less.
A girl name Anjie I've passed 12 times because she's in our hotel.
She is in the room next door and I'm talking to her and she hasn't received items either.
Is it me? She's gotten items from others but not me. Wah

Did you find out why this is happening? It's happening to me! I thought it *might* be because I don't visit all the houses... Or maybe some meanie has reported my house?!?
I used to get gifts... It is sad it has stopped I want them for my dream town!

this has happened to me before. one time I streetpassed someone a second time and it didnt give me an item. it only happened once though. all the other times everything worked fine.
