I've had this game since I think 2013 and I didn't know there were fireflies until today!! I've legit never seen one before/don't remember having seen one before but I caught one tonight and got really excited

After I caught one I started seeing them all over my town, and I'm just amazed I could've gone this long without ever knowing that existed in this game...they look so pretty though, I just want to walk around my town all night to look at them!

June is one of my favorite months of the year in AC. I love fireflies <3

I used to see them all the time as a kid on my grandparents farm.

Ahah, I'm confused as to how you've never seen them yet. Did you get the game at release/soon after? Fireflies were all around then. I suppose you either forgot or never played in the summer before, which I could understand.
You're right, they are so pretty! A real enhancement for your town, makes it very dreamy as well. It would actually be a great thing to have in your dream, I should try to do that if my town is somewhat finished before they disappear.

I'm surprised that you have never noticed the firefly island tour. It is one of my favorite three medal tours as it is so easy.

As a kid my family would chill outside in the evenings and talk without lights on to watch the fireflies, and my sister and I would try to catch them and let them go. Sadly they don't appear like they used to. The woods used to be filled with tiny blinking dots, but the last time I remember seeing them I only say a couple I dunno if there's a reason for that or if they just seemed like more as a kid lol

I really hope you can see them sometime, though c:

yeah i used to see them growing up too, farther north from where i live now.... i remember seeing them bright yellow, orange, and even green... we used to catch them sometimes in jars, it was really cool looking...
