🍂🦃 Who Else Is Prepping For Turkey Day? 🦃🍂

Hey, y’all! So I ended up looking at some guides and information for Turkey Day, as it is time-locked and I need more time to prepare. We apparently have so many ingredients to get? LOL. I was overwhelmed and was like, “they expect us to do all this in a day, especially if we want all the DIYs? .” Are any of you prepping and stockpiling ingredients? I’mma make sure that I can end up not stressed and frustrated.

I feel the same way. I've been checking every day to see if they're unlocking it early. I heard that while they will only unlock it the day of, we can time travel back and do it any time. I was gonna collect all the new Christmas stuff and use them as gifts for my friends, but I think I might end up giving gifts a little late this year

I'm only prepping early on with the pumpkins because I destroyed most of my patches when I re-did parts of my island so I need to stock up again. I'll get the fish and sea creatures on the day!

I'm also bummed to see that we don't get things like oil and sugar items anymore I was hoping we'd get to use those again. The models are there, just let us have them nintendo arggg!

I’ve been TTing each new day to see if they happened to release it... . Looks like I’ll be keeping myself on the 26th until I get all my DIYs . Oooh! I really want some Christmas stuff—I’ll need to TT for spotlight items . I feel that, LOL. It hasn’t even started and I’m already behind. AGHHH

SAME . I really wanted those ingredient itemsss. Look it how good and shiny they look omg . I still need to plant more pumpkins—but with the little space on my island I might end up buying some off sellers on the forum.

also petition to bring back tortimer to scare off franklin so we can steal his ingredients-

I honestly don’t know . It would make sense to only need to make 4 meals, but then that means we’d still have to TT (those that do, I mean) for the other DIYs. I’m not sure if neighbors hand out DIYs if you give them ingredient items? D;

I was reading it and I'm like surely you only have to make it once haha I might just gather enough ingredients for the 4 meals to be cooked once plus how many DIY's is there anyway to unlock that day ?

I'm too busy clutching maple leaves for the maple leaf diys which apparently can't be found during this time as that was an october thing. So now i'm collecting mush stuff. I missed the pinecone stuff

There's an option to trade ingredients with your villagers. Very likely they'll have to get them that way if they haven't save any mushrooms from the very beginning of the game/started their game at a later season.

I hadn’t even thought about prepping I think I will just wait and get ingredients on the day. I have lots of pumpkins and I collect mushrooms daily. Have finished crafting items so would be nice to use them. Happy to help if I have any leftover

I've done a bit of fishing and diving, as I don't know how much time I'll have to try to do that on the actual day. Still need to get a couple of things but if you can trade with villagers, I'll do that.
Looking forward to seeing this event in action!

I’m planning to do it on the day of since it gives me a reason to go in the game and if i run out of time, I can extend the day by rewinding the time a bit. I haven’t been picking my pumpkins and have a decent amount in storage, so I think I am set on pumpkins. I have been picking mushrooms every day and have bough a stack of some earlier from LittleMissPanda, though for the event i make mush furniture (I want to avoid using these as much as possible, but i can always buy more from her if needed ). Ah... Fairly recently and in the last few months I sold most of the crabs and other diving critters i was hoarding for the possibility of sea creature models .

I am a southern hemisphere too We have different ingredients to collect because of different seasons.

Im from the northern hemisphere, so it doesn't affect me. But i was just thinking it was a little weird

Bruh, those DIYs were so annoying. I’m not gonna lie, I bought them from a trusted seller on Ebay. I wasn’t gonna spend all this time and waste it not finding all the DIYs I need.
