Yes yet another indecisive thread... but I'm really struggling. As of now, I have four crankies in my town who I love immensely: Rolf, Lobo, Avery and Kabuki. And that is waaaaaay too many. I was considering giving Avery or Kabuki the boot, but can't decide between the two of them as I love them both.

Reasons I love Kabuki:

-He reminds me of my cat as my cat has similar facial markings (he's a maine coon)
-I'm really into the fact that he's based on a Japanese theatre style known as Kabuki, as I really love theatre and dramatic arts myself.
-He's one of those misunderstood villagers, like Rolf, who looks scary and intimidating but is an actual sweetheart.
-I really really love cats.

Reasons I love Avery:

-Avery is based on Native American designs and really fits the theme of my town.
-I feel like I need a bird in my town.
-I am really into native american history and how they're a big part of Canadian culture. (I'm Canadian and so is my town)
-I really like his design as he looks like a totem pole.

What should I do or what do you suggest I do? I'm really torn here guys...

I'd discard the "I feel like I need a bird in my town" unless you really love birds. There's so many species that I don't think you "need" to have each of one in your town or anything.

It's ultimately up to you. I'm facing a similar problem myself, on one hand I want to keep my town's design looking more or less coherent, on the other hand there are villagers I like for personal reasons like the fact that they remind me of pets or friends. Which one would be more fun for you? Would you have more fun in a town with a consistent theme (pick Avery) or in a town that speaks to more personal reasons (pick Kabuki)?

Alternatively, you could always give some other cranky the boot, or keep all four of them.

The fact that you have Kabuki in your avatar and that he is close to your heart because he reminds you to an actual cat you own makes me feel like Kabuki would be the right choice for you! Id personaly pick Avery but thats just because Kabuki genuinely scares me a bit.

(And omg Rolf is so missunderstood! I think he is probably the most charming Cranky Ive ever had)

Yeah you're probably right. All my villagers pretty much fit the theme of my town but Avery REEALLY fits, whereas Kabuki I love on a personal level. That's why this decision is so hard... but I can't kick out any of my other crankies :(

If I were in that situation, I'd choose Kabuki. I personally prefer Tom over him, and I like Avery a lot more than Kabuki.
But, if I had an animal that reminded me of a pet, or even someone that I value, I'd definitely try my best to keep them around.

I'd keep Kabuki. You seem to like him more on a personal level then Avery, who just fits the theme. C:
And Kabuki looks a lot cooler, with his really unique markings. :D
