B looks super unnatural and jarring imo...on the other hand i feel like the switch from cobblestone to stepping stone is awkward but maybe that's just me. i think i prefer A.
Yeah, it probably looks a bit awkward but I think once I start landscaping, it will look better, I hope. lol Thank you for answering honestly.
Thank you everyone for answering. Ill await more votes.
yeah, i'm sure it will!! i'm sorry if i came off as rude or anything. they're different kinds of paths than what i'm used to so i don't know anything about what sort of town they would fit well in you know? ^^'
I actually like the second one more, since it feels more realistic with all of the rocks being connected and it's not obvious where each tile ends and starts. Although, the lack of edges does make it seem a bit odd.

I like A better but it does matters to you what ever you think that looks better.
I went with B all cobblestone because the transition from the stepping stones to the cobblestones felt a bit unnatural to me. I think it's because the stepping stones are that warm tan color and the cobblestones are a cool gray.
But I really do like the stepping stones and the variety of option A. Once you landscape, it could completely change things. So go with whatever makes you happier.
With B, it's more obvious the path is, well, a pattern. The grass color doesn't mesh as well as with A.
I voted A before I read through all the comments, and now I can see what most of you are saying, but I still like A better, there's just something about that's pleasing to the eye.
It's too bad that we couldn't do polls in our town and have our villagers vote, since it's their town, that would be cool.
I like all cobblestone.
