According to my 3DS Activity log, I've been playing New leaf for 207 hours. I've been playing on the same save file all this time, but I haven't recieved the silver badge for playing for 200 hours (the Village representative badge). I was just wondering, what does count as play time in New Leaf. I was thinking, maybe visiting dream worlds or the island doesn't count? Does anybody know?

TTing doesn't affect it. i should know since i do it all the time to be very honest and i have gotten the gold badge for it and all i do is play.
Sometimes he gives you different badges rather than the ones you should be recieving you should be getting it soon hopefully ^~^
Example of playtime: just playing having the ds open island time and dream time does count as long as AC is open pretty much I believe and A LOT of my time has come in from sleep mode i think o.o sometimes I either leave the homescreen or the game running when i go to bed so MAYBE that has counted as play time I THINK roughly maybe not sure but i leave it like that a lot

But the 3DS doesn't "record" sleep time, does it? Because if you play for 20 minutes and have the 3DS in sleep mode for 40 minutes, the Activity log only shows that you have been playing for 20 minutes that hour. So I doubt that sleep mode time counts as play time. But yeah, I guess I just have to wait and see if Phineas shows up anytime soon.

Also, don't forget that Phineas won't appear if it's raining. He'll be in town the next time it stops raining.
The Activity Log doesn't record sleep time, but it does record stuff like loading as the game being played. ACNL uses its own counter, which doesn't count starting up the game and loading times.

Have you done any plot resetting? Because that wouldn't be counted toward the badge.
Yes, but that has taken less that 1 hour in total.
Things like the loading screen and resetting and stuff shouldn't be taking up as much time - I've heard that it's not just playtime but activity time that effects it. Things like standing about apparently don't count towards playtime for the badge. This would make sense since I was about ~30 hours above the Silver badge requirement when I finally got it.
