Where will the amiibo cards restock? (North America)

Ever since Nintendo sent out that tweet about restocking amiibo cards in November, I've been like:
I've checked my local Walmart, Target, and 5Below with no luck. Maybe I'm just impatient!

Has there been any updates about the restocking? Where do you guys think they'll sell the cards?

Is there a GameStop near you? I know that’s where I got the amiibo cards when they first came out and I’m pretty sure they are available for preorder on GameStop’s website.

GameStop was fresh out of cards. Nintendo's website had cards, but... when I came back from work, the page suddenly disappeared! So much for restocking, Nintendo...

Is there somewhere else I can go for decently priced card packs?

There are six random cards per pack. Each series contains different characters, so you can technically narrow down your selection (e.g.: if the majority of characters you want were released in series two). You can see which characters are in each series on Nintendo's website here.

Just bought two of each from the restock on Nintendo's store!

i was only able to buy 2 series 1 packs. i guess that's okay tho, bc series 1 has multiple villagers i like. hopefully they restock their restock again

That ticks me off. That never dawned on me until posted in the bothering you thread about my anxiety over the welcome amiibos running out of stock. now i’m more anxious ><

Resellers really suck. They don't let us real fans get a chance to have cards of villagers that we love. Truly sad.

I agree. same with regular switches, and especially special editions like the AC one. I've always disliked scalpers, forcing people to pay double for their own benefit. I hope sites like eBay put a maximum amount on these items. there's people selling Marshal amiibo's for 80 USD!

Unfortunately, that's what we've been forced to do! There is virtually no other way to get these cards legitimately unless Nintendo decides to restock on a whim. Even then, the scalpers are ruthless...

I prefer just watching like a hawk for restocks, since I can’t really afford to pay at scalper’s prices. That’s what I did with my lite (I got mine back when stock was still scarce). I’m probably going to wait until the amiibo hype wears down before I grab my packs.

I’d get as many as you can while they are still available; you can always trade dupes for whatever you need. Dupes are unavoidable.

I really would have preferred to get them in store rather than ordering them online. Less of a competition to get the packs that way. Rather fight the locals than fight the whole US for some limited stocked cards.
