I'm in the processing of arranging all my flowers to different areas of my island, and I'm having some trouble finding a place my purple roses will look good, lol. It's not quite as dark as the black flowers but nowhere near as bright as the rest of my flowers, so I'm wondering if you guys have some creative arrangements/uses for these flowers because they feel a little out of place with the rest of my island and I'm not sure how to make them look nice. How did you use yours?

Also the other black flowers as well - I built an Alice in Wonderland-themed area where the black, red and white roses look really good together, but I can't find a similar use for the other black flowers. I know a lot of people do graveyards, but I just thought I'd look around for some other ideas too!

I had a little bit of space next to my archaeology site so put some black flowers there to fill in the gap! as for purple roses I have a stargazing area with a bunch of blue and purple flowers so they're in there, not sure if that's quite what you were looking for but that's where mine are! they're definitely a bit of an awkward colour :p

I have a graveyard in my town so black flowers will be placed there. Don't really intend to use a lot of purple flowers in my town.

I think the Alice in Wonderland idea sounds wonderful btw.

I will use my purple roses with the black ones to decorate Muffy's house. Also I use the black lilies on the graveyard. Lilies are the flowers you give for the ones who passed, so it looks very,, morbid. I use the black tulips everywhere, because they are pretty but I don't want my island to be too colorful. I don't have black cosmos and I probably would never use them anyway.
Purple pansies are my favorite after the blue pansies. I use it everywhere also for adding beauty but not too much color. I used the blue ones on the places that I want to look fantastical.

The entire garden around my house is black, white, and purple roses, I love the way purple roses look in this game.

Im putting purple roses next to the able sisters. I have 3 different flowers but with purple, pink, and blue as the colors representing the tree sisters.

I really like a combo of pink, purple and black roses. I placed them together accidentally, and then it actually looked pretty good! Purple and white roses look nice together too imo. I put those around Diana's house, they seemed to suit her aesthetic.

In NL i put black tulips and another black flower (not sure if it was roses or lilies) around an iron garden bench :> And i had plans to put some purple roses along with green mums, maybe some pink windflowers, and black and white lilies around a shell fountain that i customized in the pearl color. I never executed that idea, but this is what I had originally planned

I later realized how much pink and blue was in the fountain and started reconsidering, but maybe this arrangement could give you some ideas :D

I will be using mostly black flowers on my island, other colors will just be sprinkled in for avoiding monotony. I won't use all of the colors available though, only white, red, pink, purple, gold and a little bit of orange for one of the haunted gardens.
As for how to integrate black flowers with colorful ones, I think it's best to just treat them as all of the other flowers and decide per area/ theme whether they fit or not. As long as you don't use them excessively, they are just another color variation and I don't think it's necessary to go for a darker themed area just to make them work. Tulips for example are more of a dark brown and therefore go well with other warm colors and as others have already stated, black roses look really pretty with other colors of roses.
If you don't find any use for them, maybe they just aren't for you? I would definitely suggest experimenting a little, but if it turns out that you don't find them suitable for your plans at all, just get rid of them.

Zell's got black tulips in his yard and I've put black and purple roses around my zen garden area. Other than that I kind of just let them grow wherever.

Thank you for all the responses so far! Helping me come up with my own ideas too.

Thank you! Here's how it turned out, if you're curious - not pictured are the white roses on the other side of the path, with a few gold roses sprinkled throughout. I find those a bit overwhelming as well, so I didn't include too many of the gold ones. Patterns are not mine, I can't find them anymore since I think the creator was Japanese/had a name with Japanese characters. ;;

Yeah, I definitely went in with my flower project thinking I wouldn't use any of the dark flowers, but as I started breeding and some of them popped up, I decided I want to incorporate at least one of each flower on my island, so we'll see how that turns out and if I can make that work with my lighter-themed island, lol.
