What's your favorite type of map?

I'm curious as to what type of river (and other elements) people go for when picking out a map.

I like any map that's somewhat symmetrical and lots of space. I'll edit it my maps later when I get a chance, but my favorite maps are those that look like two staircases that fit like puzzle pieces :>

One of my towns has B6 in the lower right section and the other has C5 in the lower right section. They are both nice short rivers. I would have ideally had C5 in the upper right section for the east facing beach, but I liked a lot of other things about the map that I settled for the west beach.

I really like the look of very symmetrical ones where the town square is in the center. I've gone for it before but it never leaves much room for PWPs and landscaping in my experience. Plus I like how creative I get when decorating a town that has a lot to it.

I like maps with the plaza in the centre! Like mine! Also not too many ponds. Managed to only get 1 on my map! Also like the retail being close to the beach and only having one long beach

the best map imo. i lucked out with my first town and got it as an option the first time i started the game so when i re-set i, of course, had to get this map too.

I like it when the Re-Tail is close to the dock. That way, it makes it quicker to sell your island beetles and fish.

These are the only two map layouts I really like. With the plaza in the middle and two separate beaches.
