what’s the worst rng luck you’ve had?

i need to hear some sob stories, since i’ve been trying to move out fauna for so many hours without avail! i just need some peace of mind to know that i’m not alone, and at one point, she’ll have the thought bubble. although, i had very good luck with getting apple and bea to move out (both of them on my first try). don’t worry, i got bea back. she’s permanent!

Using the campsite method for Raymond. It used up 3 days of my life.

He was camper #72. Every single smug villager in the game had come to camp on my island. Even after the last smug had left the campsite, I still had to endure 9 different campers of different personalities before Raymond showed up.

I was searching for Tangy the other day and I came across Marshal, Molly, Diana, Raymond, Judy and then Zucker lol. If I was into any of those it would've been a great day but I'm not, and I thought it was kind of funny. I briefly considered each time taking them in just to sell them so I could get a few more bells but I don't like doing that personally so I never did. I never found Tangy on islands! I went through 100 NMT for her and landed on Flora so I just took her in instead. But then I met someone on here looking to give Tangy to a good home so I cycled out one of my other non-permanent residents to get her. While I was cycling, my campsite had a visitor and it was Marina lmao.

But I have Tangy now! So it's all good.

Probably trying to get Audie’s photo. She was my very first island hopping visitor (so...I got her less than a week after release) and she still won’t give me her photo! I even time travel trying to get it- so far I have 3 other photos that came much later but no Audie!

Right now, it's a struggle trying to get Goldie's photo. XD She's my fourth villager, and I've gotten everyone's photo out of who has been on my island for a month or more. I'm not in a big rush, though, since I love having her on my island so much.

I'm planning on moving out my jock villager, so I can increase the chances of having jocks visit my campsite to get Rudy. I don't time-travel, so I'll find out how many of the other jocks I meet before finding Rudy.

The rng in this game really seems to hate me I think the worst was when I was newish to the game and had an open plot. I was using NMT to look for cats (mostly Raymond, but also pretty much any of the cats). I spent all my miles on tickets, which gave me around 100 tickets. Didn't see a single cat. What made it even worse was how many times I saw the same villagers, on that one day. I was so sad! I also get the same DIY recipes over and over and over again (but I guess that's pretty normal). Very rarely get campsite visitors. My husband seems to get campers twice as often as I do.

It happened when I was trying to look for Poppy on mystery islands. Initially, I thought about using the campsite method to find her, but figured there are about 60 normal villagers in the game. So assuming the RNG doesn't cooperate with me, I would probably end up resetting 100 times trying to make her appear in the campsite. Going back, I used my tickets since I had a lot to burn. Fast forward to #350 and I found Dom. I was pretty exhausted and almost running out of tickets so I stopped, then eventually took him. I was missing a jock so taking him would be the right decision, plus he used to be one of my starters who I considered moving back. Still, my top priority villager is nowhere to be found. I gave up then tried the other method.

Got her eventually using the campsite method as my 15th camper, so the RNG blessed me this time.

so my most sought after mermaid DIY? got it like 2nd to the last. in fact it's mostly what i wanted. rng is rarely on my side though.

It taking almost two hours to convince Sherb to move in and replace the right villager at the campsite.

Three hours of TTing to get Diva to ask to leave.

Redd showing up one week with no real paintings after a three week wait, then the next time (almost a month later), only having a real one which I already had in my museum.

Really bad luck when getting Sylvia to move. All my other villagers I wanted to keep but Sylvia. I TT'ed constantly for about a week to get her to thought bubble and literally every other villager asked to move TWICE. She did finally want to leave tho.

I’ve had pretty good rng this time around. The worst luck I’ve had was that it took 141 NMT to find Lucky (and even then I found someone that I pondered on taking beforehand).

Bangle came to my campsite and I wanted her to move in but she kept recommending all my favorites to move out and I had to reset the game so many times before I finally got one I was willing to let go of

I was trying to get Goldie, a rng camper, to pick Tutu to want to move out and i kept resetting in order to make sure she picks Tutu. I went through every single one of my other 9 villagers a minimum of 3 times each, some even more than that until she finally picked Tutu.
Tutu was the oldest villager on my island, she never ever wanted to move. It was hell

Have you heard about the change on the mechanics after the update? What have you been trying with?

I did hear, I’ve been doing fruit stacks with full inventory since a few days after update. I already got 3 other villager photos this way! I actually replied to my own post too- I ended up getting her photo 15 mins later from a lost item quest lol
