What's making my town dirty?

I can't get the Perfect Town rating...I feel I'm close though because so far the rating is
"Goodness gracious! Even from an academic standpoint, I must say this town is becoming quite good! If the town grows like this, I have no doubt that its value will keep soaring ever high"

Then Isabelle says that cleanliness is a problem and "All the weeds and garbage make them feel like they're 'living on a landfill.'"
I don't have any garbage that I can think of though...the only things I have on the floor are baskets of fruit, mushrooms, and lucky clovers. Could it be any of those??

I have no weeds either! I've looked behind every tree/house and nothing. What could it be?! Everyday she says cleanliness is a problem. Blah

Baskets of fruit count as rubbish. That's the problem.

yep, any items/baskets of fruit on the ground count as garbage! clovers don't, but if you pick up all the fruit and mushrooms and put them in your locker or something you should get the perfect town rating right away. :')​

Yeah,, anything other than fruit (not in baskets) mushrooms, shells, buried items, trees, flowers, that sort of stuff. Just take the fruit out of the baskets.

yea for whatever reason I think pretty much everything except for plants and un-basketed fruit counts as garbage. seems a little weird to me, but it is what it is

it seems super silly to me to be honest but glad you solved the problem

I guess it's because single pieces of fruit count as "natural" items since that's just the way they are when you shake trees, but baskets of fruit count as non-natural items because you have to put them together and then drop them on the ground. It's weird, but that's the way it is.

Yeah baskets of fruit count as items, and you can only have 9 items on the ground before it starts counting against your town rating

Yeah like others said baskets of fruits are trash, but lucky clovers aren't counted as trash and neither is singular fruit. Just and weeds baskets are. I've been trying for quite a while to ge perfect town, but it's probably going to take a while before I can since Isabelle wants more PWPs.
