What would happen if you time skipped?

I do this and can confirm that the above comment is the whole truth. But that's not the only consequence; a lot of your villagers will have moved and you can't get them back. I still do it... Which is why I have so few of my dreamies.

I actually time travelled two years forward and nothing happened except that one villager moved away.

Everyone will move out and nobody will be left and there will be weeds evrywhere and you will also have no flowers and the rivers and ponds will be dried up dont TT

If a villager pings you to move and you ask them to stay (so they no longer want to move), no matter how far you THEN TT forward, no one will move out, you'll just have a lot of weeds and bed hair

Just to clarify: villager asks to move out on, say, the 1st January 2013 - you say no and then save and quit. If you then time travel to 1st January 2015 no one will have left

Nothing will happen if you have beautiful already on and stop a mover before you jump ahead. I've done it in my side town a couple of times. You'll have bed head, a few weeds and extra flowers you don't want. Just make sure to talk to your villagers when you TT ahead. One should be trying to leave either by ping or rumor. Just get the where have you been out of the way and than the villagers are fine. Boomer spilled 10 minutes in about a mover.

If you don't have beautiful on you have to get it first. Than wait the next day for it to take effect and stop a mover. Than it's safe to jump ahead. I did it for 2 winter bugs and than jumped back to the real date. No one went missing.
