Tomorrow, Nook's Cranny will be closed for renovations. This means I can't sell anything.
I'm currently trying to pay off my last home loan, and I need extra money for Able Sisters. What were they thinking with this? I'll have to get all the money today!
At least in New Leaf when the stores upgraded you still had Re-Tail to sell things. I might have to go online and sell at my friends' islands, and I pity everyone without Nintendo Switch Online.
(The solution might be time travel, but I refuse to do that for personal reasons.)

Well this happens in every AC game but NL. Only NL had Re-Tail which never closed. This isn't a new thing.

Money rocks have 16k in them, and you can get money (Up to 30k) from Balloons. I'm sure you have enough money for Able Sisters, and if not, that's on you for not preparing.

Mine is closed today. I'm not particularly fussed. I went onto the game long enough to collect fossils and check out Ables and then decided to turn it off and get on with a report for work. If anything I'm focusing better for it.

They do it with every shop in every game. I mean.... we had to wait what 3 days for the museum, a day for the able sisters to be built, a day for resident services to upgrade?
If you need to sell things that badly go to a friends island or take the day to focus on something else outside of the game.
The new nooks is way better and worth the one day lol.

Mine will be closed tomorrow just got the announcement but you could get lucky and get CJ or flick or just store your fish and bugs inside your storage or dump them outside the bigger shop will be worth it tired of seeing the same furniture all the time and buying tools will be worth it making one tool at a time is really time consuming

I guess I just don't get it because the same thing happened when Nooks Cranny opened too. You couldn't sell things to Timmy and Tommy for the day because they weren't in Resident Services.

i don't see the big deal about it. if it bugs you that much, time travelling is always "a last resort" kind of option - if not, you always can spend the day doing something else, not animal crossing related. (or play another animal crossing, because i'm a maniac and i do that, trust me.)

but all jokes aside: i spent most of my day pre-NH, if a store was closed for remodelling purposes, doing other irl stuff or just taking a quick glance at the game, checking in on my villagers, fishing a bit, saving and then doing sth else.
