What was that villager glitch and is it still happening?

i think it had to do with amiibo cards and im thinking about buying amiibo cards to make my life easier and i want to avloid glitches

Yes, early on in the games release there was an amiibo glitch where people buying scanned in villagers from other people would end up with their empty plot saying "sold to 's" and never had the villager move in. It was very frustrating but got fixed in an update. I have done multiple amiibo trades since no problem, there is 0 risk anymore

Wasn't the problem with villagers that were kicked out by amiibo villagers? As in, the town is full, so you get to pick which villager gets replaced by the one you scanned into the campsite?

In any case, yes, this problem is supposed to be fixed.

Thanks, I was actually not sure. I mostly remembered that people were posting screenshots of the villager suggesting to move at one point. Glad it got fixed.
