You know, that one game mechanic that bugged you just a little. Sending fossils in, or no one ever mentioning you can select multiple items with X, or something like that. What was it, and why are you glad it didn't return?

Having to get out that ugly GBA cable in order to visit the island.

VIKING HATS.

I loved those cool shirts but on a hat they were nothing short of ugly...

Sending the fossils in had always bugged me! >.< I always wanted the identified fossil the same day to be sold/donated, and not have to wait until the next day! -_-

I think we can all agree that mailing fossils in took way too long and shouldn't ever come back. Other than that... having to go back home to save your game.

I'm not sure, I kind of like the community feeling that comes from sending in fossils, like that after a while these people must be looking forward to your next batch of fossils, eagerly awaiting to see what your town has to offer their starved archaeological tastes. The masses of dusty, thick-rimmed glasses atop forty year old males sitting huddled at their desks, slowly humming along to the workday, and then a loud whistle is heard. They slowly rise from the desk and head to the small cafeteria, lunchboxes in tow. Word spreads among the archaeologists; Central (my town) finally filled up their museum's fossil collection. Cheers of joy and stifled cries of sorrow erupt, the joy from hearing the good news, the sorrow because they fear you won't send any more fossils to them.

The next day, tears are falling from their eyes as they receive the three precious fossils in the mail. Twelve, wonderful Twelve, the person who cares enough about them to still send fossils, is still a distant friend. Even though his museum is full, the fossils keep coming.

The fossils keep coming.

I HATED sending fossils in, even before I knew our future would be just going to give them to Blathers, just awful to have to wait and only be able to send in so many. Useless storage only being able to hold 3 pieces of CLOTHING. The helmet hats never bothered me and still don't but in hindsight I don't like that they were forced on us lol

They shouldn't bring back having to mail off fossils to be identified, dressers/wardrobes and the like only being able to hold 3 items a piece and having to run home to save.

Definitely running home to save your game. It was so tedious!

Also, I hope they never ever bring back the old fruit collecting method...

The acre system (as a camera system, that is). I'd be fine with acres returning as an optional toggle feature for your map, but I like the free-flowing camera system we have now. Granted, I also hate the rolling pin style that's been used since Wild World. So I suggest an amalgamation of the two. Combine WW-NL's free-flow camera with the higher flat looking camera angle PG used.

This isn't at all what I pictured when sending in fossils. That had to be the worst thing for me.

I like this idea! Seconded! :)
