What should I name my cycling town?

I'm anxiously waiting for my new digital copy of ACNL to finish downloading and I'm making plans. I'm going to have a cycling town as well as a hybrid shop run out of this town, but I don't know what to name it. I've never been good with names... I mean, Kyoshi is from the show Avatar: The Last Airbender! I want it to be unique so it stands out on the forums. If you have any suggestions, leave them down below! ^-^

Honestly, I think the best ways to be unique with naming are 1) to completely make something up yourself, or 2) to make another reference to something that's much beloved like Avatar is.

For the first option you could mash together words you like, or mess with them to make them sound more like locations. Example being, word: capricious, town: Capricia, or something. I always take note of those names, personally. Also, prefacing the name with "The" makes it sound dramatic as all get-out. I had a friend whose town was named The One before he deleted it and it always struck me as being kind of creepy and interesting.

The second is self explanatory I think, but I would avoid the popular Nintendo franchises because I think people are starting to get sick of seeing those kinds of names everywhere, haha. But then again, I think the name of your cycling town won't matter so much as they way you format it and the effort put into the thread itself. There are certain ones I come back to look at even when I have a full 10 villager set just because I like the way it's laid out :3

I agree with infinikitten - making up your own town name ensures uniqueness.

You could always mess around with translating words on Google Translate or other related websites. That usually makes for some cool sounding town names. There's also a bunch of town name generators lying around on the internet.

I'd be willing to try to compile a list of names, if you'd like. ^-^ Is there a certain feeling or theme you'd want the town name to invoke?

maybe create a ship name or a mixed name from avatar?
i'm terrible at this but something along the lines of city names mixed together, or even two of your favorite characters?
ex:
Azula and Ty Lee = LeeTyzula
Katara and Zuko = Zutara
