Okay, the topic title is pretty much self-explanatory.

My favorite song... Well, if you know my taste in music, you might be surprised to see that my favorite song is 'If I Fall' by Amber Pacific. It's a very slow and clean song, simply sung with a piano accompaniment. Please read the lyrics. It's a beautiful song in every way. It reminds me a lot of Sarah. Usually I'm a pretty sad kid, but whenever I'm around her, she does her best to make me smile. And even when I feel like complete *CEN-2.0-SORD*, even when we weren't dating, she was the only one I could hold onto. She's always there for me, no matter what. She means a lot to me. But most of all she's just my best friend. We can talk, laugh, even cry. : D She's an awesome, funny, smart, sensitive person and I wish the whole world could meet her, and I only want what is best for her.

'Imagine' by John Lennon comes in a close second.

This is for the ones who believe their lives won't change
Hoping that someday things will mend and be the same
And this is for the ones who have lost it all
When all that's left to gain
Is a simple reminder that the things that we're blind to slip away

How can I say
Say I'll be okay

And if I fall through these days that go by without cause
Just a painful mistake has left me here on my own
And if I fall through these nights I can't seem to go on
Just a sign that you're with me gives me the strength to hold on

Now that the line's been broken
I'm too afraid to just look back
The pages have left an empty space
You were all I had
Why does it have to be this way
These things they'll never change
Still I'm left with knowing, content and happy, this is all I need

And if I fall through these days that go by without cause
Just a painful mistake has left me here on my own
And if I fall through these nights I can't seem to go on
Just a sign that you're with me gives me the strength to hold on

And if I fall through these days that go by without cause
Just a painful mistake has left me here on my own
And if I fall through these nights I can't seem to go on
Just a sign that you're with me gives me the strength to hold on

"Song"... Does it need to have lyrics?

:X

But wow, holy CRAP, my favorite song... I can narrow it down to "Top 500", but I wouldn't be able to go lower than that, most likely. : (

Of course not. 'Song' does not mean 'lyrical'.

OK, well... my favorite song at the moment would probably be Andorinha by Antonio Carlos Jobim. Oh my GOD. This song has been playing in my iTunes pretty much ever since I bought it; the play counter's almost at 100. I only bought it a few days ago, too...

:X

It's such a great tune... verrry relaxing. In fact, since I bought it, I've been listening to it before going to sleep. Very soothing song. It's got a 1960s lounge feel... quite jazzy. The electric piano + trumpet duet is amazing. And the reverb effect on the piano is interesting, too... adds to the hypnotic effect.

It's not quite like Jobim's other material, but then again, Stone Flower was a pretty unorthodox bossa-nova/jazz album, so...

Favorite..? Cheh....
For some reason I like feminism...

Your bounce to the ounce makes us want to pounce
You're just being totally perfect
On larry king you said you weren't tired
Time to put to bed the competitive edge
They say you can't say no to drama
Now you don't have to try so hard

The label says: 'don't have to wear less clothes'
Next time you take a bubble bath
Hey hey little baby break down
Button-up baby you come undone
Hey hey little baby get down
Before you fall and hurt someone

You say you need privacy
Broken glass everywhere
Maybe you need an emo boy
No underwear on the director's chair

You are seemingly unconscious
Of what yr body's doing
Like miss Monroe yr head don't know
Exactly what yr body's doing

Hey hey little baby break down
Button-up baby you come undone
Hey hey little baby get down
Before you fall and hurt someone

On TV yr soft and whispery
Delicate like angel food cake
They say if you press too hard on it
It'll squish into a dense ball
It will lose its fluffiness
That's what you get when you use a boxed mix
Can you get some satisfaction
How much are you willing to pay for

Hey hey little baby break down
Button-up baby you come undone
Hey hey little baby get down
Before you fall and hurt someone

What's your gut feelin' about the new deal
How's the label gonna remake you
How was your date with eminem
Did he bake you and then forsake you
Is innocence gonna still overtake you
Like arthur doyle they can't fake you
Ah mariah yr endless
Like the wind, your feelin' defenseless

Hey hey little baby break down
Button-up baby you come undone
Hey hey little baby get down
Before you fall and hurt someone

I'm really liking

The World at large by Modest Mouse

And for slow songs

I like

Coughing Colors by Tilly and the Wall

Favorite song of all time? ...I can narrow mine down farther than Bul can... but I seriously need to think...

The newer bands I'm listening to the most are Airbourne and Wolfmother. Probably because they sound so old-school. So I guess "Too Much, Too Young, Too Fast" is my current favorite song. Pales in comparison to the classic rock stuff I listen to, but still.

It's challenging to narrow down a favorite song for me. Right now, I like "Throwdown" and "Frontline" by Pillar. But I can't pick a favorite song.

It's from an anime; Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex.

"I Do" by Ilaria Graziano. It's sung in Italian, but here's the translation:

Within an illusion, I had believed in my inexorable strength
And inevitably I have become weak
(Now I feel) events changing, and I already know
The emotions which unlock distant memories

From my soul I retrieve the hope which in my tired body now
Has stopped beating, like a fire quenched by my tears
(In my hands) I take with me a trickle of water
(And in the desert) a blade of grass will survive

I do, I do emerge from the depths to fight and then
Go higher than ever before
I do, I do look to the future and smile
Not fearing anything anymore

In an instant, new aspirations are also ahead of me
A scenario of conquests and losses unfolds
(In the silence,) the reflections of ages leave a path
(Breathing), I notice the circular motion, and then...

Time has stopped to outline new borders, and I
Press further on, gathering my strength against the wind
(In my hands), the reflections of ages leave a path
(Walking), I retrieve the indelible trail

I do, I do scream against the cold, extinguished eyes
To always be the best I can
I do, I do go beyond impregnable worlds
Not fearing anything anymore
I do, I do emerge from the depths to fight and then
Go higher than ever before
I do, I do look to the future and smile
With a new identity
Until the sun will rise

It's a reflective song, with touches of affection, sadness and hope for the future.

Little Weapon by Lupe Fiasco.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gMdyV1OFeTw

Little Terry got a gun, he got from the store,
He bought it with the money he got from his chores,
He robbed candy shop told her lay down on the floor,
Put the cookies in his bag took the pennies out the drawer.

Little Kalil got a gun he got from the rebels,
To kill the infidels and American devils,
A bomb on his waist,
A mask on his face,
Prays five times a day,
And listens to Heavy Metal.

Little Alex got a gun he took from his dad,
That he snuck into school in his black book bag,
His black nail polish, black boots and black hair,
He's gonna blow away the bully that just pushed his *CEN-1.01-SORD*...

[Lupe Fiasco]
I killed another man today,
Shot him in his back as he ran away,
Then I blew up his hut with a hand grenade,
Cut his wife's throat as she put her hands to pray,
Just five more dawgs then we can get a soccer ball,
That's what my commander say,
How Old?
Well I'm like ten, eleven, been fighting since I was like six or seven,
Now I don't know much about where I'm from but I know I strike fear everywhere I come,
Government want me dead so I wear my gun, I really want the rocket launcher but I'm still too young,
This candy give me courage not to fear no one,
To fear no pain, and hear no tongue,
So I hear no screams and I shed no tear,
If I'm in your dreams then your end is near.
Yeah

[Chorus - Nikki Jean]
Little Weapon,
Little Weapon,
Little Weapon
We're calling you
There's a war
if the guns are just too small for you
You find you're something small to use
Little Weapon, Little Weapon, Little Weapon
Yanked you now, pow

[Lupe Fiasco]
Now here comes the march of the boy brigade
A macabre Parade of the toys he made
And in Shimmer shades who looks half his age
About half the size of the flags they waved
And Camouflage suits that made to fit youths
'cause the ones of the dead soldiers hang a little loose
And AK-47's that they shooting into heaven
Like they're trying to kill the Jetson's
They struggle little recruits
Cute Smileless, Heartless, violent
Childhood destroyed, devoid of all childish ways,
Can't write their own names or read the words on their own graves
Think you gangster popped a few rounds,
These kids will come through and murder a whole town,
Then sit back and smoke and watch it burn down,
The grave gets deeper the further we go down

[Chorus]

[Bishop G]
Imagine if I had the console,
The family of those slain,
I slain on game consoles,
I aim I hold, right trigger to squeeze,
press up and Y one less ***** breathe,
B for the Bombs press pause for your moms,
Make the room silent, she don't approve of violent games,
She leaves resume activity,
Start and blew hearts with poor harsh wizardry,
On next part I insert code
To sweeten up the purses of murder work load
I tell him he work for
CIA with A
With operative, I operate this game all day
I hold a controller connected to the soldier
With weapons on his shoulder he's only seconds older than me
We playful but serious, now keep that on mind
for on line experience

[Chorus x2]

Oh jeez. I dunno if I can narrow it down.

Maybe Every New Day, or All That Is Good by Five Iron Frenzy.

(Sorry, Mino)
