You can buy some clothes or an accessory for 500 Bells or less. I like wandering around the shops and trying on clothes.

Almost no one sells anything for less than 10,000 in-game bells on this site unless they are doing a giveaway because it's just not worth the time to do a trade for so few bells when you could make more bells faster by fishing, going to the island, hitting the money rock, etc.
