What is TBT currency most people speak of?

is it the "bells" located below our avatars?

if it is, how do we collect, give, or take TBT?

Yup, it is the bells. People either refer to it as tbt or btb. You get them by posting, or selling stuff to other players who give you tbt in return. You give tbt by clicking the number beneath your avatar
