I see people in cycling thrrads asking if they can lurk a certain villager and I wanted to know what it means.

I see people in cycling thrrads asking if they can lurk a certain villager and I wanted to know what it means.

They usually hope the cycler might give them a heads up when their wanted villager is moving out, or to hold onto that villager for longer than if no interest was expressed. In other words: 'Hey, I am interested in so-and-so villager who just moved into your town. I was hoping maybe...' And usually, the cycler might give details in their opening post about what a 'lurker' might expect from them, if anything.

I often lurk on the amiibo General Discussion board just to see what amiibo collections other members have.

For me, it means someone is interested with the villager especially the lower tiers that usually get voided without any notices.
