What is a secret beach?

Been trying to understand but I just don’t Can somebody please explain?

The “secret” beach is that small piece of sandland up north on your map. Without terraforming, you’ll probably need a ladder to get to it.

Somewhere around the back of your island there should be a really small stretch of beach, it's considered a "secret beach" cause you have to kinda look for it. Now that they added in Redd, he should show up there to sell art every so often. I'm not sure how often he's supposed to show up though.

A secret beach is a initially inaccessible part of your island until you get the ladder and vaulting pole. Then you are able to access it! Easier access can be found by way of terraforming, without it you're going to have to use a ladder, it's a tiny beach so it's usually found on the top part of your island somewhere, now that Redd is in the game, that's the location he comes to sell his art and other stuff.
