What is a game series you just don't care for?

I commented in a similar thread, but I don't get much enjoyment from the Splatoon series. I only played the first one, which I initially purchased because friends I made on Mario Kart bought it and I wanted us to play together. It was a dumb decision since I wasn't all that interested in it in the first place, but I can at least say I tried it.

The only thing about Splatoon I enjoyed were the Splat Wars given how much I love battle mode on Mario Kart. I loved the team and competition factor. I wouldn't say the purchase was worth it for me since I know there's more to the game than just the Splat Wars.

I've been wanting to give it another try, but not for the wrong reasons.

Grand Theft Auto, while I acknowledge that they are well-made games, is not for me. I can't play a game where you can harm realistic-looking people for no reason. Playing games like that makes me feel guilty.

To answer the question, I don't like Call of Duty. Y'all can feel free to make fun of me for this, but the reason I don't like Call of Duty is because I get really dizzy within five minutes of trying to play. I don't actually dislike anything about the game. I just don't like being nauseous.

It's Assassin's Creed and Resident Evil for me.

Mostly out of feeling overwhelmed from having too many games to get through in the series.
The Assassin games with Ezio are some of my favorite games. I also liked Black Flag but HATED 3. I also tried a few others on ps4 and didn't like them. Usually I feel bananas for not liking the vast majority of the Assassin games, so I'm surprised to find someone who doesn't like any of them.

I can’t think of any game series I despise per se, but I never got into GTA, Team Fortress 2, Metal Gear, Fortnite, or Call of Duty. I played the latter at a friend’s house and it wasn’t really my thing. I don’t mind shooters, as I’ve played Doom, but I found it kinda boring.

Also, Life is Strange never appealed to me. Minecraft’s art style isn’t my cup of tea, either.
I didn't know people dislike GTA!

I'm not really into The Legend of Zelda or Pokémon, they’re just not that fun to me.
I never got into pokemon at all. It was a huge thing when it first came out but I always found it dumb. I tried one of the Zelda games on switch but don't remember which one. I didn't like it even though I really wanted to.

Most of the most popular / best selling games, I'm really not a fan of

Call of Duty
Battlefield
EA Sports garbage (they used to be so good, now they're microtransaction gacha money grabs)
2k sports.... same as EA sports, just with NBA and WWE

F-Zero 99 really ruined the entire series for me because of those stupid mandatory tutorial races you must do before getting to play the real game. I’m still stuck on the one where you must make it to the top four and every single time I’m close to clearing it, a computer racer always crosses the line one second before me! It’s been four freaking years and I’m still stuck on the stupid tutorial section of the game! I have since then refused to play any of the other games in the series.

Fire Emblem is the big one I can’t get into. I’ve tried three different entries in the series but neither the story nor gameplay grabs me.

The whole Dark Souls/Elden Ring genre of games also aren’t fun for the same reasons I don’t like most combo fighting games. The intensity and sweat and controller-breaking difficulty is the exact antithesis to the reason I play video games.

I try to give games a fair chance, but there's definitely a lot that never really got me hooked or interested at all.

Fire Emblem. I tried playing the game, and to be fair it was kind of fun. But when I stopped playing, I couldn't find the motivation to pick it back up again, it wasn't really exciting or anything

Blanket disinterest in all car racing games bar Mario Kart. They just don't interest me as a concept

I tried to get into Final Fantasy, I really did, but there's just so many entries in the series and different types of controls that I honestly couldn't keep up.

Minecraft is another. I don't have anything against the game, I just don't like the controls or the design. I never had even the smallest inclination to play the game, even with most of my friends playing it growing up. The only reason I wanted to play it was to see what the hype was, not for the game itself. Didn't really enjoy it at all

Any FPS games. The aesthetic and gameplay doesn't look interesting to me.

Minecraft for me as well. I dislike the way it looks, I'm not a fan of how everything looks like the same block but merely in different flavors.

Probably Assassin's Creed. I've never been interested in those games at all, and no amount of convincing will work on me.

Another series is probably God of War. Just simply not interested.

For me it'd probably be Monster Hunter or Final Fantasy 14... I generally just don't vibe with them. My IRL friends are really into them so if anything I play them vicariously through them lol
