What if we had a mode which we could play as existing animal villagers?

What if a new update gave us the option to actually play as one of our current animal villagers in our town as a save file separed from the main mode?

For example, you could play as your animal of choice, talk with neighboors and go to island and have other activities without affecting the original player save file.

that'd feel too weird to me. I know I wouldn't play like that. I can't see the game deviating from the whole thing of playing as a human with animal friends though.

Just a mode to see how would be the life style from the point of view from a animal villager.
