What if other amiibo figures became compatible with Welcome Amiibo update?

For example scanning Mario amiibo figure would unlock a animal villager who dress up like him and also have exclusive Mario furniture not found in fortune cookies.

That would be cool! I would very much enjoy a Peach or Daisy compatible figurine.
However, they already do have a few figurines compatible! You can scan in Splatoon and Zelda/Link figurines ^.^

I recently bought a Diddy Kong amiibo figure and would be nice if it could unlock a villager based on him.

There are a lot of possibilities with the welcome amiibo update^^

I'd love more Nintendo themed villagers from other amiibo! It would be so amazing if scanning the Samus amiibo summoned a Ridley or Kraid inspired villager. I guess they'd best suit the crocodiles. Oh god, Crocomire from Super Metroid would be PERFECT but probably not as iconic as Ridley. Nintendo pls.

i'm 100% for more amiibo figures and more of the original villagers to be brought back. i think this was a great way to boost the game again and bright back older players. it definitely brought me back.

Not to mention that Nintendo would totally make a killing off of amiibo! If they added more amiibo to the game, figurines would sell like hotcakes.

It would be amazing, if you could use the Pokemon amiibos and would get a villager, dressed as a
trainer which has a lot of Pokemon based items. Imagine a Pokeball, which your character could hold
in the hand just like a wand and various outfits based on well known characters from the games. Or
Pokemon ornaments (similar to the Nintendogs ones). That would be cool. I mean, you can still dream
about it that they would add something like this to the game, right? ;-;

Villagers based on Mario characters would be also interesting. I think they could add more amiibo based
villagers (and items). It would be also great, if some more old villagers would be get a comeback (still miss
Pierre).
