What does time travel affect?

Okay time travel confuses me. I know it affects when villagers leave and the weeds and stuff, but here's my real concern:

Today I went to someone's town and invited Octavian in. If I now decide to time travel to tomorrow morning 5:59 and let the game turn to 6:00 which is reset time and sets the town to the next day will octavian's plot of land show up still? Or will I lose Octavian's arrival because of the time traveling?

Nope, if you do what you said, then his plot will appear normally as if you hadn't TT'd :)

In fact, if you start a new character once the time has rolled over, and you don't like the placement on the plot, then you can reset and do the same again until they plot where you want them :D

It can take a few days for a villager to move in, so no guarantees. But yes, there is a chance his plot will show up, because it will then be a new day!

I'm pretty sure you don't have to go to 5:59, you can just start at any time the next day. :)

Yeah, it'll still show up. I do this every time I get a new villager and it's always worked out fine for me.

Well octavio did say he was moving in tomorrow when I invited him and my experience with Charlise (Who I for the longest time called Carlisle LOL) shows that invite characters move in generally within the next 2-3 days :3
I just wasn't sure about the timetravel thing though. It confuses me.

Usually when you're just TTing one day at a time, nothing much can go wrong. Just be careful with the dates and times and you should be fine. :)
