What Do You Want After Death?

Okay, before I begin to explain, this is not a thread on religion nor am I asking for you beliefs because quite honestly I really don't care and I doubt many people on this site care either. So I'm asking for you all to keep those religious beliefs to yourself to avoid debates and arguments.

I know some of you will answer "heaven" or "hell" but let's just keep it at that and not "in the resting place with God Almighty" because you and me both know very well that the last part is just totally unnecessary. I can respect "meeting Jesus" or something like that but don't make it extra.



What do you want after death? Meaning what do you see happening after death? Nothing? An afterlife? Reincarnation? Something else? What do you want?

Me? I want reincarnation. I want to be reincarnated into another human. Something about human life vs animal life.. maybe because wild animals are treated so poorly? Maybe. When I was little, I wanted a resting place where I could be with the important people I lost (mostly my grandma oops..)

So now I throw the question at you. What do you want?

I want there to be an afterlife or reincarnation, I hate the idea that your consciousness just disappears forever when you die. That said, I don't believe in any religion and I think the "nothing happens when you die" idea is the most probable, however depressing it sounds.

The thought of my consciousness ceasing to exist is mind-boggling, but not really scary for me.

Being in some kind of spiritual happy place with all my deceased loved ones would be the best way for me to spend eternity, I think, but if there's just nothingness... I don't know. I don't find the idea to be all that terrible.

Peace. I don't believe in an afterlife, so I hope/expect that death will be a slow lull that pulls me to darkness, just like falling asleep.

I think you'll just get reincarnated into a different body. I always sway between whether or not you have the possibility of reincarnating in a different time period or if you just follow the current timeline and can't go back...like are you going to be reincarnated as a lower class peasant in 1600s Europe or whatever. I don't know, that idea really isn't something I want, though, because reincarnating back in time...scary.

Tbh I want some form of eternal afterlife but that seems unlikely to me. :/

I want an afterlife full of all of my favorite things. Reincarnation wouldn't be ideal as I wouldn't remember it.

Death scares me since there's really no way of knowing what happens once we pass on. I think reincarnation makes a lot of sense and nothing after death makes sense too... it's just sad to me to think that once we die who we are is really gone forever with no afterlife to even be in.

Whatever it is, I would just like to be free from worrying. Worrying about finances, worrying about my kid, worrying about... everything. Just some peace would be nice. Actually, forget about afterlife, I'd take one day of it.
