What do you do to take your mind off things?

lately ive been super into crocheting amigurumi figures. im trying to figure out how to do ac villagers actually. its a process, but it keeps my hands busy. im also really hype about color guard because we get to throw things. no, i dont want to hear about how lame anyone thinks it is.
 
Drawing really helps me relax and take my mind off things I should be worrying about xD
Have you tried adult colouring books? They're so intricate and they take a lot of concentration, so you can relax and forget your troubles :)
Animal Crossing is like a different reality, especially the nature and beauty of my town! It helps when I'm focused on an activity- for instance, catching fish and bugs to get bells for a PWP, visiting a dream town for inspiration, landscaping.
Make-up helps me take my mind off things, it takes concentration and it's a great way to be creative and expressive.
Try starting a journal- I've been writing journals for 3 years and writing about your problems can help put them into perspective, and it makes it easier to find a solution to them and approach them differently. Or you can write about things that make you happy- writing is really magical c:
Listen to music- find songs that make you happy or perhaps bring back good memories. They can take you to a different world.
Find a good book- you'll be concentrated on it and you'll be in a different world! Books on topics that interest you and make you happy are great ^^
Maybe learn a new language? I find that makes me happy and feel productive, and it takes lots of concentration. You might even want to take up a challenging language such as Chinese or Polish.
Watching YouTube videos makes me happy and occupies me, and sometimes I start with make-up tutorials and end on cat videos, haha.
Exercise and fresh air will make you feel happy and refreshed, especially since exercise releases endorphins, which make you happy :D

Driving, it puts my focus on the road and I love listening to my favorite music along the way. I get stressed out super easily but driving kinda helps negate that for me.
 
For me music helps quite a lot, and usually I combine listening to music whilst playing AC or simply just listening and appreciating the music itself. As mentioned, AC helps me take my mind off things and make me feel more at ease, I like visiting friends' towns or even just a few dream addresses. Drums too, if it's not too late at night or something, which unfortunately, most of the time it is, but drumming definitely keeps my mind occupied I even try to learn something new that gives me a new challenge for me to think about. Talking with friends too, they often help and give me advice or even just comfort me, I'm so thankful for them.<3
 
I listen to music and write. I've had anxiety/panic attacks for nearly two years now & this is what helps me best. Cleaning also helps to distract me, but that's because I have OCD and I can spend the entire day cleaning and making things perfect without even thinking about it.
 
I go for a jog with some music. The adrenaline and the music help me to focus just on things like my breathing and my stride and keep my mind off everything else.
 
play video games, but lately i have been wanting to write. it usually lets my frustrations out.
 
Sorry to here about your depression/panic attacks. I have had a lot random panic attacks a few months ago. It is usually really difficult for me to take my mind off of it whenever it is happening.
