What did you guys do on halloween in your towns?

I mainly walked round my town aimlessly getting noticedby villagers in pumpkin masks, having not a single piece of candy I had to constantly play charades or rock paper scissors, most of the time I won the game. what did everybody else do in their towns? Did you invite people over and do a little halloween costume competition or a spooky game of hide and seek?

I will probably make a bigger effort in-game next year for halloween, but this year (my first halloween in ACNL) I could not be bothered to buy all the candy haha

I bought about ten pieces of candy prior to the event just so that I could have some to give out. This was also my first Halloween in the game (despite the fact that I've had the game for two years), and it was really fun doing a mix of giving candy + playing games. Other than that, though, I didn't invite anyone over; it was pretty standard.

ah fair enough, I also hated the fact I couldn't do any mayoral work that evening on halloween as isabelle told me I wasn't allowed lol I wanted to enact a ordinance

I played with the villagers for an hour or so. I got all of the furniture last Halloween, so I wasn't stressed about finding Jack. I did give him candy when I saw him, though, and sold the furniture at Re-Tail. Then I went to see K.K. Slider since it was Saturday.

sounds like you had quite a good halloween in Pripyat

I just went around & scared the villagers in their homes to get lollipops to give to Jack. After I ran out of those villagers, I avoided all my neighbors and hunted Jack down to get as much furniture as possible (still lacking like one piece of the creepy (is that the series name??? idk) series).

It was p fun, considering I hadn't played New Leaf on Halloween before.

My goal was to obtain all of the pumpkin masks and patched clothing pieces. I didn't try to obtain any of the creepy series as I only had 5 villagers in my town, thus limiting my ability to get lollipops!

Hopefully, I can try to get the creepy series next year.

same here, I just stayed at home all night handing out bags of sweets to trick or treaters :/ lol

I played with the villagers a bit - I wasn't too bothered about getting the furniture, I've already got most of it I think, but I decided to get the pumpkin masks again with one of my alt characters who doesn't have them, so my evening mainly consisted of that!

Busted my butt collecting the spooky/creepy sets for my new Witch character. I kept getting repeats, the creepy set is harder to complete xD I didn't even bother with the masks, which I regret. They would have been nice decorative pieces for her house.

For the first time, we collected the raggedy clothing sets and pumpkin heads! It was actually really fun Then we gave out all our extra candy.

I spent this Halloween getting tricked Haha. I wanted to get the pumpkin head set (I got them all but purple). Next year I might do another villager in my town and have them have a Halloween themed room so I'll get more of the set.
