Mario What color is Toad? (First color that comes to mind when thinking of Toad!)

Without looking it up online, what color is Toad, from Super Mario Bros? Specifically, the colored dots on Toads hat.

There are multiple colors that Toads appear in. I am curious what is the first color you think of, when thinking about Toad.

Red (specifically the one with red spots and a blue vest, not the one with red spots and a red vest. The difference matters). But I think the actual best Toad color is blue or green.

Tbh, I'm the same as Yoshi155. Red Toad with the blue coloured vest comes to mind. But my personal favourite is definitely green. The Toad with the red spots + blue vest is next though.

Red mostly because that’s the one that has been used continuously since Super Mario Bros on the NES. I also remember Toad that way because of the old cartoon series. It is the classic design and most prominent coloration of the species. The Red Toad is pretty much the only Mario character that hasn’t undergone any major visual changes since their debut on the NES.

Okay, so I clearly don't have the memory you all do. My first thought was that Toad was green, and my second choice would have been blue. I am wondering why red wasn't my first choice like nearly all of you?

I looked into it a bit, and I think Toad first appeared as a playable character in Super Mario Bros 2. That's one of my favorite Mario games, and I played it more than just about any other Mario game.

So that explains the Blue....

But why did I think green first though? Where does green Toad appear?

Tbh, I think of toadette first even though that is not toad. Otherwise my answer is red, then green.

Red has always been Toad's default colour to me. The only Mario games I've really played are Mario Party, where host Toad/playable Toad is red, so that might be why.

Pink and yellow are my favourite Toad colours, though!

I probably should have asked what your favorite Toad color is, instead of what I asked. I legitimately don't remember Toad as being red in the games. Upon further research, I totally should have!

I know I am not color blind. I am also very detail oriented. So this is making me a bit bonkers

I always knew Toad as having red spots on his hat. It’s the default look for me. My favorite color Toad, though, is blue.

oh no you did nothing wrong!! i found it funny how I was so confident it was white and when i saw it wasnt in the choices i was like OH no im completely wrong

i do like pink tho!! idk if toad has a pink color but i love toadette hehe
